The kids did well last night ;D Into the semi final of the Carling Cup competition beating a full strength Spurs side and the youngsters and reserves really had to dig deep! 0-0 after full time, it went into extra time where we went down 1-0 after 108 minutes.....only to score an equaliser from a penalty in the 117th minute, with 3 mins to go ;D (Sinama-Pongolle) So then it was a penalty shootout! We eventually won that 4-3 Im very proud and happy for them. Sinama-Pongolle the handball incident Pongo again

That's when it counts the most! Good on them! We sometimes see their matches on the English Premier League channel [as opposed to the UEFA channel... or the Calcio Italia channel or the La Liga shows!]. Hey, we do get football here! Maybe even some S Amer stuff too.

We could do with winning big games away from home in fact, any games away from home. Thats our biggest downfall. Thats a lot! Probably more than we get And the injury crisis is getting better all the time, Baros should be back for next week, yay!!

After a disappointing draw with Villa on Saturday, we managed to qualify for the next round of the CL! Im shaking and crying, I can't even begin to explain what its like.......we needed to win either 1-0 or by 2 clear goals. We conceded a goal and were 1-0 down at half time. I honestly didn't think we'd do it. But we managed to score 3 goals in the 2nd half from Sinama-Pongolle, Mellor and Gerrard. Im ecstatic, we were on the verge of elimination! ;D I'll post pics soon!!! Im so proud

you're the best Lee ;D thanks! I hate this club sometimes though!! We pull off a fantastic win like that on Wednesday and play like shit and get beat 1-0 by Everton. As soon as it looks like we've turned a corner we always let ourselves down

Dont even get me started on the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth. I have been well informed that we should have won. Gerrard is going to be leaving in the summer and why not He isn't going to stay here, not when clubs like chelsea and Real Madrid want him *sigh* Speaking of Sami actually, he got out jumped for the goal by Lua Lua, who is about a foot shorter than him

And according to my source, that guy was injured too. *sigh* Lua Lua? I dont know about that, I didn't see although I did see the goals. Gerrard's was something special If we're to keep hold of him we need to improve otherwise he'll be off like a shot. Sami however, was far too slow to react and was out jumped and out muscled. I think his time is up soon.

Sorry for the sad news, ILR. Wasn't Gerrard just made captain, or is time flying by even faster than I thought? What a pity.

Double check my souce and it's wrong info about Lua Lua injury. Will Sami retire after this year? Well it doesn't make it that much better considering his lack of height No, he won't retire but I do think he might be forced out eventually. We're leaking in goals now due to stupid mistakes. Its flying Hackie ;D He was made captain half way through last year.

That's sad. I hope he gets into better form. He's not that old, IMO. May be footy is different from ice-hockey, a good hockey player can play till he's in late 30s and some into early 40s.
