Stop putting it in Calgary! Put it in Southern ONtario! Put everything here! That's odd isn't it. Doesn't ONtario always gets what they want .

Canada is undefeated in all 10 DC matches in Calgary! ;D ;D So, until Canada lost...... So it's about time the Flames move out of their building then ? But hockey players aren't superstitious at all, no?

[ I think some weird station is showing it -- Sport sth or other, here it's channel 53?!! I don't get that channel... I think it shows sports scores most of the time... I had no idea that is on TV. That's SportCentral or sth channel where I go check scores all the time. I'll surely be watching then. Hmmmm, since we actually have Davis Cup tv coverage, I hope some day Canada will play Spain . But of course that will never happen bcos cross continent tie will only happen in the SF/F round, unless Quebec becomes part of France, then maybe Canada will be in the same world group as Spain . 6 degree of separation.

Huh? I was certain that the World Group draw was totally random after the seeds were placed. Brazil and Australia have played early before, and that was certainly cross continent.

I have absolutely no idea how Davis Cup works besides the top-16 group. And it seems to me that we always play against Brazil but I didn't bother to try figuring out why. Because to me, Brazil is in another league so why are we playing them. But I heard we beat them bad before. Anyway, I have no clue. (hey, Becca, check you PM lately?)

I'll respond to the PM later tonight, Vera - I had to look something up before I could! Thanks for reminding me. In unrelated news, I'm sad that Dancevic isn't playing, I like to look at him I watched him in montreal a couples times... he's actually just from down the road from me (by the road, I mean the highway)

After sometime away from here ( I'm truly sorry) I come back. Hey Becca you really had a great time on USO, good for you, your nightmarish bus journey finally got compensated with Rafa's and Ferrero's performance I was really scared when reading your bus adventure, definitely is much worse than all I've got this summer I've only seen Nadal on TV a couple of times, and yes, he's really impressive, but he's being a bit unlucky with injuries I only hope he's fine for a complete season next year..... As impressive as Nadal IMO is Verdasco, he's older but still young and lately with great results, he's one of those young Spanish who will be considered a clay courter by assholish commentators beyond Spain buy yet, he claims to be better on faster surfaces... Nothing else

Better late than never! I finally found Becca's 2003 U.S. Open memoirs! And it was well worth the wait! Becca, even though you weren't always feeling your best , it sounds like you had a great experience. The tennis missionary! Becca, it's nice that with your vast tennis knowledge you could help some of the uninformed tennis fans at the U.S. Open. And sadly there are alot of uninformed tennis fans at the U.S. Open. But then again alot of people who attend the U.S. Open aren't even real tennis fans. They just go because it's a big event and they want to be there. And that frustrates me. I didn't know you liked Thomas Enqvist so much! And congrats on your first solo vacation! That's always a big occasion in a person's life.

Nothing else What I remember about Verdasco was very impressive... he was creaming Robredo, but Robredo was such crap that day that it was hard to really get a good idea about him... as for him just being a claycourter... I didn't see it that way He looked pretty good on hardcourts to me
