The singles success of the Czech love match has prompted them to withdraw from the mixed doubles where they were scheduled to take on Australians Stephen Huss and Monique Adamczak on Sunday.
"Both of us are playing really good and I don't think it's a good idea to go and just play in the mixed in these conditions," said Berdych.
"Also I think Lucie is feeling a little bit in her leg."

We forgot about KING KOLYA vs. Safarov, which is on MCA. Just to PISS OFF our #3 player. Goooo... Lee Na, because I don't want to see Martina lose to KIM again. Skeletor. Sexxy James and Gorila, love them both. Crazy Bepa. Nuhdoll, and please inflict injury. The Tchak. KING KOLYA. Heh. Poor shy Safarova.

If it turns out to be Kim vs Serena/Vaidisova final I'll stop following women's tennis. Therefore, go Maria.

Kim vs. Serena final would actually be neat.
Except if ... well.

Think about a NikkiV - Masha final. That would be the hottest grandslam final ever.

Men's bottom half went predictably. The highest 8 seeds all made the fourth round

Serena is going to be in the final. Ugh. I can't believe this is happening. Go Peer/Safarova/Vaidisova. I have no problems with Serena winning everything in sight when she's physically fit and focused on tennis (2002), but half-assing her way through GS draws is annoying. And I'm also ticked off that Tina didn't have her place in the draw.

If Lindsay hadn't been so eager to get laid after the US Open, this slam would've been hers for the choking.

If Lindsay was here, she'd somehow get through the top half of the draw, then lose 2-6 7-6 6-0 to Serena in the final.

Of course, the one night they actually start coverage at a good time, and for a match I'm PSYCHED to see, is at the same time as what could be an absolute classic in USian football.
Hopefully Tina or Na will win in 35 minutes.

Li is playing very well, but she tends to in streaks. The streak of errors will come soon.

Damn, Martina, two lame errors to go to 0-30 and now she's down a break again. Really crappy play right when you get back into it.

Well there is no way Tina's going to win if her W/UE ratio is worse than Li's. Some really sloppy play on big points.
|
|
|
Post by DBBN on Jan 21, 2007 19:51:15 GMT -5
Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, well it's just one set. Martina needs to make close to ZERO UE's. Just like she used to. Otherwise this is pretty dire.

Post by Wagasi on Jan 21, 2007 19:52:56 GMT -5
Li's Christian? I had no idea. She should be winning though, Martina's just passive and even a chokey Na is dominating all the points.

|
|
Post by DBBN on Jan 21, 2007 19:59:15 GMT -5
The points are in Li's hands, yes, but that's nothing new for Hingis. What's killing her is stupid errors at awkward times. The first set was nearly dead even and if Tina can stop giving away a point a game, the match should go her way.

Line judge cheated for Tina. He/she called it good, went to correct it, and then thought better of it. Thanks.
