I don't think Naomi is bad looking at all. Some people have started to expect athletes to look like photo-shopped models in magazines; it's ridiculous. Maybe she'd look OK if she wasn't so out of puff.

Hingis is smiling and C. looks exhausted.

Oh no, Tammy T lost to Peer I was hoping that she could turn back time and recreate her glorious turn-of-the-century form of like six last 16 showings in a row

C. is very gracious and smiling at the net. She should be angry! Anyway, what happened in that 3rd set?? Was MH playing great tennis all of a sudden, or did Naomi collapse because her fitness, such as it is, runs out after 2 sets?

Was MH playing great tennis all of a sudden, or did Naomi collapse because her fitness, such as it is, runs out after 2 sets? Hingis wasn't playing great, but her shots were more solid; that was enough to take care of Naomi easily. C. became more erratic. I like Gimelstob. He's cute.

LOL, Cammie Pan leads Batty Patty by a third set break. Keep blasting those aces, Cammie! Serve her off the court!

It doesn't matter if Schnyder comes back here, because Vinci will eat the winner of this match alive.
I don't really like Tina's chances against the extremely grass-capable Nakamura...

Aiko. I was shocked to discover that she's well into the top 100. I've got to pay more attention to tennis at the journeywoman level.

LDL won a game! Already! I didn't know she had nice touch like this. She actually smacked a FH winner in that game.

Okay, here's the real test for ESPN: will they go to Serena live, or are they going to show it from the start and only PRETEND it's live. My guess is, the 2nd one.

How is LDL winning games?
If Serena loses -- never gonna happen, but IF SHE DOES -- this will literally be The Worst Loss of Her Career.

How is LDL winning games? If Serena loses -- never gonna happen, but IF SHE DOES -- this will literally be The Worst Loss of Her Career. She won that last game with 1x Serena UE, 2x BH volley winners (one of which left Serena tripping over her feet and squealing), 1 x lovely BH dropshot and 1 x monster FH winner down the line! This is weird.

Actually, which is worse?:
1) Losing to Dominguez Lino on grass. 2) Losing to Dominguez Lino on coke.

they're going LIVE! Has espn turned over a new leaf?? It's only because the other option is showing Justine live. Like that's happening. Or Timbledon, which it appears people have finally given up on.

I used to hate Gimelstob, but I've liked him ever since I saw him practicing in Montreal a few years back. These random chicks that were dressed up all... silly-like, approached him randomly from the sidelines and were like "hey Justin! We're from NEW YORK!" Justin looked at them blankly, then looked in the direction of my friend Jess and I, because we were the only other people around at whom he could direct his "um.. what the Hell?" look at. The girls then proceeded to ask him if he knew where Vince Spadea was. I'm being dead serious here. This actually occured. I'm surprised that Justin managed to muster up a casual response to this. Jess and I were trying not to bust up hysterically.
Good times were had by all.
