I'm cheering for Eschaeur because he failed in his first 14 attempts to win a first-round qualifying match at a GS event. That's what the commentator said. Is it true?

I don't know, I missed that part. I heard about how poor he is, and about the thrill of his life so far: this morning, when John McEnroe offered to hit with him.

I'm watching videos of the infamous Cliff Richards-singing-during-a-rain-delay incident. Funny. I love it when Virginia Wade shows up.

I'm watching videos of the infamous Cliff Richards-singing-during-a-rain-delay incident. Funny. I love it when Virginia Wade shows up. Oh, no. They NEVER show that in the US. Cliff Richards is not well-known enough here, thankfully!. But it used to turn up on the BBC regularly during rain delays, and probably still does. Ditty and RKJ predictably lost 26 in the 3rd. Oh, well. Congrats to Emma the Finn and MJMS.

I got bored, so I decided to go to YouTube and check out the ESPN Lindsay Davenport tribute. I don't know why I'm missing her considering I almost always rooted against her. She was really cool, though. In retrospect, I wish I'd cheered for her in the '05 Wimbledon final. Venus winning ended up being the worst-case scenario.

Wow, what a turnaround. Kolya has fought back from two sets to love down. He's serving for the match at 5-2 in the fifth.
Ivanovic/Hantuchova trailing. Boo.

How was Lindsay cool. Her high school equivalent would be the fat, rich, lazy girl who tries hanging out with all the hot girls, and is accepted just because her family is rich.

1) She spoke her mind, especially in the last few years of her career.
2) She built herself a successful brand.
3) She has cool famous friends.
4) Though those friends, she had a successful and fun life outside of tennis.

None of those dispute my point. N. Davydenko.

2) She built herself a successful brand. What does that mean. (I won't bother disagreeing with 3)).

Lindsay will make a big announcement Clemens style:
"I am back to crush the giant Penis."

Also, Bremond's slice is sitting up, on grass I noticed that too. Very strange, and possibly another sign of just how much the grass at Wimbledon has slowed down.

I thought she was cool because she spoke her mind and kept it real. She called everyone on their bullshit and did things her way. Yeah she lost a bunch of matches she should've won, but she has no regrets. She achieved way more than she ever expected to. And she has a Hall of Fame career. Very cool.
