"The Serb has another match point. Vaidisova serves another double fault and the match is over! What a way to lose a match! Vaidisova trulty sntached defeat from the jaws of victory! But credit to Ivanovic, who dug deep and proved why she's number 6 in the world."

Ana/Nicole was a good match, though I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the ugly-ass Vaidisova forehand without flinching a little inside. And a good winner I want Justine to win Wimbledon. I don't want Ana to lose two straight finals to Justine. I want Justine to beat Venus. I want Ana to beat Venus. These things are incompatible

For some reason during Vaidisova-Ivanovic I found myself rooting for Nicole, and I'm at a complete loss to understand why.

"6-6** - (5-6) Hewitt saves the first match point..... And the second with a brilliant backhand..... Now Djokovic has the serve on his third MATCH POINT..... Wonderful tension..."

"6-7** - (5-7) Hewitt's backhand is just wide, and Novak Djokovic is through to the quarter-finals in fabulous fashion 7-6 (8) 7-6 (2) 4-6 7-6 (5). The 20-year-old Serbian rips off his shirt in celebration, balls it up, and sends it into the hugely appreciative crowd! He will face Marcos Baghdatis in the next round."

Marcos vs Djoko! What fun! King Kolya should stick around to watch that one, since he's always in search of excitement!

So, do they just make stuff up. Hewitt dumped hit shot into the net on MP #3.

Overpowered in the opening two sets but leading the third 4-3 with a break point, the Swede was infuriated when umpire James Keothavong overruled a Berdych serve in. "That is why you suck," the 35-year-old said, lambasting the umpire's decision. Last year's surprise semi-finalist branded the official "absolutely useless" before clawing back into the match by winning the third set tiebreak 8-6. The word on the street is that he is Anne's older brother. It appears they both blow!

ugly-ass Vaidisova forehand I find it pretty. I like the unconventional wide swing. It's her BH that I find ghastly. For some reason during Vaidisova-Ivanovic I found myself rooting for Nicole, and I'm at a complete loss to understand why. Possibly because Ivanovic plays completely brainless tennis, while Vaidisova is slightly less brainless. The "eureka" moment for Ivanovic came when the Adidas coach realised that, since she has absolutely no idea of how to construct a point, she would be better off letting others do the constructing and rely on her defensive skills, which are very good for a girl of her size. You'll notice she plays much more passively than she once did. *Logs off the "Vaidisova apologist and Ivanovic h8t0r" mode for the day*You didn't like Djokovic vs Hewitt? I thought it was a cracking match. Endless rallies, sick shotmaking, drama. Nudd-Ahl surviving yet another five setter - eeeewww. People are probably complaining about the way poor Rafa is being screwed by the schedule, but it doesn't matter since he could play 15 sets each day and still not get tired. Question for tomorrow: to which lead will Berdych jump to before choking? One set to love? Two sets to love? Two sets and two breaks up?

It's embarrassing how much of the US media is conceding the title to Venus... every country should laugh at us, if they aren't already.
I'm dreading a possible Justine-Venus final. That could even be worse than 2005 Leach. I can so see Vee hitting lots of aces, and Justine's serve go totally in the shitter.

You'll notice she plays much more passively than she once did. I was amazed to see that her defensive play won her several key points. She's anticipating miles better than she was even at RG. This is a real positive, it's not as if her ingrained MUST-HIT-WINNER-NOW attitude will ever completely die. Yes, Djokovic-Hewitt was a good match. Hewitt's red face makes him look like he has the gout or something.

Ivanovic sucks at the net (mostly because of lack of agility and reflexes), but her touch on the defense is simply fantastic.
