Apparrently he wussed out just minutes before he was supposed to take the court. Let's hope Wussy received racial slurs and never plays RG again. Seriously, it's good to see Ti-Dick continue to find more ways to be a wuss.

OMG. Eurosport are still hiring that Croft woman. I tried watching "Game Set and Mats" but turned it off after "Mats' question of the day".
Sue Barker should stop being so lazy and do more tennis presenting.

OMG, from Cornet's interview on the RG site (http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/news/articles/2008-05-26/200805261211832293906.html): Favourite opponent
Timea Bacsinszky, a really nice Swiss player. She makes me laugh and always knows good jokes.
Least favourite opponent
Anna Chakvetadze without a doubt. She put me down before our semi-final in Rome. She said that I was a good junior even though I was 30th in the world at the time. I was furious. And she doesn’t even say hello. She’s not a nice person.

Chak roxx.
Coria/Robredo seemed to have its moments, but FFWD over most of it until Fed showed on the screen. Robredo is such a laughable puffballer that just about anyone can have a go at overpowering him. Even Coria.
BTW latest info on Stepankova is that she's bringing her circus to the West Midlands. Woman's so generous she insists in delivering laughs to as many people as possible.

So, Niculescu is awesome. The forehand slice thing is bull, though. She only does that on approach shots rarely. But, she's the closest thing to a female version of Santoro. 2 hands off both sides with no power. Relies on hitting tons of drop shots and awkward approaches. Monica also has a smoking body... but, the really Romanian face negates it.
Pandzic is also somewhat unique. Runs around her forehand constantly. Has a strong 2-hand backhand that she's super aggressive with, but just pushes her forehand strangely. Also cannot play defense whatsoever, at least on clay. I can see why Jelena sticks to challengers with the game she has... and fortunately, Bremond is a challenger loser these days, so wins. She's still the prettiest lass in the WTA, though!

Although she will not be popular with the bug-serve, bog forehand orthodoxy imposed on me by the Tennis Cult.

Thanks for the report. I read another eyewitness report on wtaworld and they said the same thing about JP's very good BH and unfortunate lack of a FH. But I think the reason she has mostly played challengers is only due to her ranking, which will now suddenly leap into the top 150, enabling her to get crushed in WTA qualies more often from here on out, instead of winning matches in challengers. Still, to think that last year at this time she was playing 4 matches just to qualify for the El Paso 10K is pretty incredible. I hope she can work hard on that FH and become a respectable Tour journeywoman.

Monica is somewhat tall, though. And has big bazooms. I see her raising up the rankings soon. I think her game is more effective than say Casanova, who made the top 50.
