Tomic is far from ready to win ATP level matches. It's better that he gets crushed here.

Oh my god. Piss-easy putaway at match-point down right back to Ferrer. 4 bad forehands in that last game, yeah that's his big weakness. Ah shit.

If he didn't run through his FH, it wouldn't be a weakness. That loss has to hurt. Fit Dave is seed bait.

Oh, and Paszek is also having Ivanovic-like problems with her ball toss. Just give up!

Wow, that is bad from Tamira. Krumm So close! Kaia did lose my love in that match, despite the FIGHT: there is only room for one tennis fatty in my heart, and that is Cake. The Chak Attack through over Anne K, 6-1, 6-7, 6-1. About how I thought it'd go. Now, Dokic. That will be embarrassing. Dokic to win 0-6, 7-6, 4-0 ret. (Chakvetadze sectioned). A new low for Szavay!! Wow, it seems like only yesterday she was hitting new lows here last year. Korolev beat Carlosh easily...why are we even still in qualifying.

Oh Potito, how could you. Dokic won?! Wow, I didn't expect that. I hope she can take out Chalky Barbie, too. But it's a shame Tamira can't get things going. Is she always going to be one of those kids with great potential who never make their mark?

Malisse/Llodra just appeared on the scoreboard and are playing 4 games per minute. Give this Slam to China, please. I actually laughed out loud at this one. Görges showed no signs of improvement. Epic fail at anything other than hitting standard groundstrokes from the baseline. Good that Dokic won, even though her game is the very definition of "up and down". I thought she looked slow, unathletic, one-dimensional, and the timing of her shots went on and off without warning. Her serve was much better than I expected though. Tamira looks like the opposite of what a tennis player should look like. Dellacqua does her best to play like a basher even though she really doesn't have the game for it. Danka was OK. A bit reluctant to take risks, or at least to hit as consistently deep as she used to. Szavay - slumps don't last for two years. This is her actual level, summer of '07 was the fluke. Kirilenko - ouch. Wozniacki - too hot for words.
