Can Nadal win? Yes, he's the favourite, but the "never reached a GS final on hardcourts" is still hanging. I hope he does. For some reason, I don't want Federer to win this year.

Wow, Nadal ... he's broken twice in a row, once to take the second set, and once to go up a break in the third, and they have been MAMMOTH games. Somehow Rafa is curving forehands back into the court, Fernando is challenging balls that are in even though he's in control of the point ... crazy. Wow, Verdasco did smashed a forehand winner for 0-30.
I think FV is getting tired, but ... it's a hell of a match thus far. WOW. Verdasco backhand down the line winner for 0-40 after an idiot fan yelled "Out!" on his return of serve. Holy shit, broke back at love.
I think I'm falling for the great play of Verdasco finally. I was lukewarm during the Murray and Tsonga matches.

Incredible match. Broken again and broke back again. Verdasco to serve at 3-4, winners and errors rapidly mounting each game.
Fernando is definitely the first player to impose his game on Rafa in this tournament.

It's really hard to see Verdasco rebounding to win two sets straight now. He MUST be tired.
But what a match so far.

Thomas Enqvist was a big favourite back in the day and I remember his run to the final - while I was thrilled for Yevgeny, in retrospect, I wish Enqvist had won the match.
And yes, from what little of the match I saw, today's semifinal was a cracker.
