Sweata was embarrassingly bad. I didn't see the first set, but she couldn't make the easiest of shots in sets 2 and 3. She didn't even bother to shake hands with Schiavone. She's a cunt. Only player other than Serena I ever saw going out of her way to hit her opponent with the ball. I have no idea how she got this reputation for being bubbly and congenial. And for being a talented, versatile player for that matter. Watching on TTC, still think Kvitova is going to be up near the top at the end of the year. Don't think so. She makes Pavlyuchenkova look agile and I doubt she can handle pace.

Heh, remember Schiavone refusing to let go of Elbo's hand after one of their indoor matches, and going on and on, and Elbo just swatting her with her racquet.

Yeah, that was weird. Elbo won easily, and Frannie randomly grabbed her and looked like she was talking shit. Elbo's like "Pff, whatever". That's what stone butches gotta do, though.

Benesova once said the hates Fed Cup, I'm surprised she's even playing. Benesova, who is 3-9 in Fed Cup, said she may give up her spot for future matches.
“I’m struggling in the Fed Cup,” she said. “I play like I’m No.500, and that’s not enough.”

Shafarzhova did the business.
Watching the France tie right now. And I kid you not, Alizé is being overpowered by Domi.

Tried to watch ITA/RUS live stream, it freezes after 5 secs each time. Computers Glatch thrashed Kvitova as well Terrible result from Petra, even given her limitations. Huber is one of those new immigrants who go totally overboard with the patriotism, isn't she? From her blog, she sounds completely insufferable to be around.

Tried to watch ITA/RUS live stream, it freezes after 5 secs each time. Computers You didn't miss out on much. I ended up watching Cornet's latest choke rather than the ZOmG!!1! decisive Franny/A-Pav match. The clay is the slowest I have ever seen and the points seem played in slo-mo, everyone scared of missing. Cornet at least made for good comedy. Glatch thrashed Kvitova as well Terrible result from Petra, even given her limitations. I couldn't watch yesterday's match for the same reason you couldn't watch ITA-RUS today. Maybe it's the surface? All Glatch has is a big serve and a BH slice, and the ice rink they have there magnifies their effect.

Glatch She might come good after all. But CZE is a point away from taking the tie in a doubles rout. Liezel Huber #1 in doubles my ass. Just shows how no one good cares about doubles anymore.

Glatch lost 6 games in 2 singles matches? Fuck the heck?
Good thing the final is in Italy, or USA would have probably won.

US wins from 2-6 2-5 MP down I'm more shocked about Russia! Why is Franny so beatable the rest of the year and then becomes a champion in Fed Cup? Does she even know that no one cares about Fed Cup? Actually, a few people in Russia do care, so good for Franny for knocking them out.

I think the Italians are like the Russinas in thinking country competitions are the most important thing in the world.

I strongly dislike Melanie Oudin. Her Cibulkova lite game won't cut it - at any level. But she was right in talking shit about the sisters of course. The Italians never looked more than #15-25 players, and still it was never in doubt.

Oudin plays with much more variety than SexyDomi. She hits everything, and usually does so intelligently (with the exception of the drop shot she always hits with the BH and is easy to read).
The problem is that none of Melanie's shots are very good. And she's not particularly mobile for a girl her size. And her serve is pathetically weak.
I give full credit to Melanie for maximizing her potential. But, she seems very unpleasant and BELIEVE!!1 is cause for punishment.

You're right, and Oudin qualifying as having some variety says a lot about today's game. I mean, virtualy all she has is the BH slice, which she hits mostly because her drive BH is unreliable; she doesn't use it to construct points, only to keep herself in the rally. The problem is that none of Melanie's shots are very good. And she's not particularly mobile for a girl her size. And her serve is pathetically weak. She moves well enough for the game she plays IMO - she's one of the least defensive of the Generation Shite grinders, but then again the reason for that may be that she isn't too good at playing defense. I give full credit to Melanie for maximizing her potential. But, she seems very unpleasant and BELIEVE!!1 is cause for punishment. I blame her for that USO QF vs Pushniacki, which I still (optimistically) hope will mark the nadir of women's tennis when seen in retrospect.
