Did you know that Alizé is also a blend of natural passion fruit juices and fine French Cognac? And that is is a gentle tropical trade wind in French?

pous trying to serve it out ... HEY, what am I doing up at this un-geezerly hour??? It's like, past 11!!! Yeah, I'm going to bed soon too. Stupid Na Li kept me up late last night for no good reason, and Hewitt's not wearing a sleeveless shirt so everything visible is not attractive enough (by any means) to keep me awake.

Hmmm Day 2 has been a bit more on the shitty side. Mainly because I just learned that Kiefer saved match-points. And Hewitt of course.

Do you guys reckon that Kim will limp onto the court at the last minute and win 61 60? That's what I think will happen. And then we will all be asked to bow and worship at her saintly feet. I don't look forward to that! Even though I just made the whole thing up, it already bugs me! grumpy janie It's a miracle! She came off her deathbed and won 63 60! Nice call, O grumpy one. ;D

1-6; Vera's (surprise!) crying. This was a perfect opponent for Hingie to start against.

Well what does it say for Cho that she could only get 3 games from a player whose movement was apparently pretty hampered? I am very, very disappointed in Cho. I guess I thought she was spunkier. To beat Kim in this condition, all a player needs is a nasty streak, to try to send Kim from corner to corner. Maybe Cho thought it was only sporting to hit the balls right back to Kim. Hingis, for example, would have made short work of this match; she has the requisite heart of ice.

Cho just came off a final (three days ago). Maybe she was tired (or maybe she just blows).
Wow, Vera imploded before the match even started. Oh well. Keep going, MARTINA!

Cho just came off a final (three days ago). Maybe she was tired (or maybe she just blows). I think she just blows. If you haven't recovered enough from a 3-day-ago match to get ONE GAME in the 2nd set against a gimpy player, then maybe you are in the wrong field. She should try Librarian School. On the other hand! Kim's alleged gimpiness, we all know, has been vastly overhyped. As in the past, Kim comes into a Slam with a "brutal" injury that any other player would probably die from -- only to speed to the final with the loss of just a game or two here or there. I especially loved the new twist last night, breathlessly reported by Luke Jensen to the ESPN2 audience, of Kim's *secret* indoor practice, which preceded a public practice where she barely moved. What's that all about? And why does the media so completely buy into it??

Kim really didn't look like she's hurting and Cho definitely blew BIG time. Her UEs kept flying off left and right.

Oh! You saw it? So Kim looked just fine? That's interesting. So why all the cloak and dagger "Secret Practice" business? What a drama queen Kim is.

Yes, according to what I've read, Kim's Cripple Show was worst in the beginning of the match.
