Wimbledon really hates Safina.
I'm not looking forward to any of these matches.

They really do hate her!
I don't think any of these matches will be any good...but I'm intrigued to see how a few of them go.

3R is always so blah. I guess I want to see A-Rad/Lee Na, though.

That's the only match I feel like would be fun to watch. Which means it will be the INTERESTING SCORELINE of 6-4 6-4 or something.

Hmmm, so I don't think I'm going to go this year for the first time in... a while. Which really sucks because I actually have money now and am living in LDN for the summer for the first time ever. Typical too I guess. A little bit of this has to do with my lack of excitement too - to think I used to act like a kid on Xmas eve on the Sun before it began. I almost forgot this year! Go JJ I guess.

Same boat as Tim. Actually I think what's stopped me going this year is that for the first time my lifestyle is such that I'm free to entrench my ass on the sofa all day and court-hop endlessly. Past the second round, I can watch pretty much everything without waking up early and queuing for 94853 hours. And the start of last week was too deadline-heavy.
I might yet go for the juniors, I have a friend who's a Wimbledon virgin who just wants to ~experience~ it, but we'll have to see what thrilling singles action I'd have to miss.

Can barely be bothered following singles nowadays TBH. Whatever. And Alex - WE HAVE TO PLAY TENNIS AT LEAST ONCE THIS YEAR. We suck at planning.

I think Flipkens could be due for a big upset. She's a talented girl, and grass favors her game. Meanwhile, Safina is a lug who lacks the will to win right now.
I don't know what's with you guys! Some of these 3rs are awesome! Lisicki-Kuznetsova? I'm there! Stosur-Ivanovic? There! Venus-CSN? Hell yes! I'd even like to see how much of a hash Mauresmo can make that match with Pennetta.
NA LI MUST PREVAIL.

Flipkens is talented. At something other than tennis, I presume.
Venus will crush CSN if she shows half the form she has thus far. Lisicki still seems out of sorts. Ivanovic, AJDE, go away.

I'm pretty excited, considering I've hardly watched any of it. But it's great to see JCF in r3, making good on his WC selection. Ooodin and Levine are very fun surprises. And I'm rooting for big clunky Safina; I'm boycotting Belgians as a protest against St. Kim returning!

TTC shows those Fed Cup reviews often. Flipkens (BEL) earned a nice role as whipping girl when Justine or St. Kimberly didn't play, which was every tie after 2003. How does Fed Cup still exist. I hope USA wins. With Jill Craybas and Alexa Glatch as MVPs, it has to be mercy killed.

There's always a hilarious chance that Venus will fuck up and lose to CSN again. Though, historically, it's always been very, very hard to pin two straight losses on either sister. I don't seriously expect the upset, mind you.
I don't know why CSN can't win matches at non-Slams. It would be a good career move!

Lisicki/Sweta could be good and I'll probably tune in, but there's a strong chance it's the usual Sweta ugly error fest. BAG/Stosur, I would pay money not to watch a single point of that.

British commentator on Ana Ivanovic: "That's why she has her well-crafted Serbian nose in front"
Thankfully, Liz Smylie goes back to calling the match.

Oudin is fucking annoying - really needs to STFU.

Jankovic was so lucky to get away with that set. She's playing so poorly and Oudin is dictating every rally (and I'm kinda impressed with her play). Yet Oudin somehow blows 4 set points, and Jankovic takes it on her first.

Jankovic wasn't doing much, was she? I saw bits of the tiebreaker, and all Jankovic did was rally and wait for the error, or watch Oudin hit the winner.

Okay, so Jankovic has a medical timeout getting her pulse checked.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Venus has injured her ankle before coming on court and is getting it iced. This is from WTA World, so don't know whether its true or not.
What is this, a MASH unit?

Yeah. So passive and nothingy. I mean...not even good counterpunching, she wasn't even placing the ball anywhere or getting it consistently deep. And she was hitting a number of errors herself. Every rally would end in JJ hitting a shot which begged to be whacked away, which Oudin would do, and sometimes it would land in the court. It's truly remarkable how much JJ's game has disintegrated this year.

And I love her, but JJ's sulking and constant whining when things don't go her way is so annoying. JUST PLAY BETTER.

So Venus isn't injured - someone was bored so made it up, I guess. *shrug*

Exactly! There's just no depth or placement. She's getting back from the medical timeout. Let's see how she reacts? Could her play be any worse?

OMG. Jelena is just.... existing out there. I don't know how she won the first set. It's happened before, but still. A loss to Oudin would be really, really, really bad. Don't do it.
BAG played decently against Stosur. Her chances of beating Vee have gone up to 2.29%.
