I like the way she strikes the ball but I wish she could keep it in the court.
Flipkens is one of the slice queens, I see.

Mathilde is collapsing like a stuck balloon. Thanks for warning us, GoDom. I foolishly thought she might actually win the match after she took the first set 61.

There is no sun on this court any longer. So why does Flipkens need the sunglasses?
Dokic has lost tone in her body, understandably after just recently getting over mono. Hope she can whup herself back into top shape in the next couple months.

What a horrible match. Dokbitch is a mess as always with numerous DF, atrocious footwork and wild errors. Flipkens isn't much better though, her shot selection is ridiculous sometimes.

Dokbitch is just a sad case. She's probably chronically depressive, and she doesn't enjoy playing tennis one bit. But what else is there for her to do?
That doesn't mean I feel sorry for her, though.

I only caught the very end of it. Flipkens showed more joy in winning this match than Sweata did in winning RG. It was kinda funny.

Flipkens winning slam matches is another sign of how women's tennis sucks today. Back in my day, Stefanie would have double bageled her in 28 minutes.

Even now Stef could probably double bagel her in 30 minutes! Britton's take on his match today: The highlight was when Britton broke Federer in the 10th game of the final set.
``I thought for about 10 or 15 seconds that `Hey, maybe I can . . . ' before he broke me at love the next game. But it was fun for those 10, 15 seconds. It was probably the best seconds of my life.''

Dang, too bad. This would have been a big win for La Douche, the archetypical junior standout-cum-senior fizzle. She has just enough game to suffer through these kind of matches and not even close to enough game to ever win any.

Vera played well and had a chance to upset Venus in straight sets instead of lose in 3 sets which is what happened. Vera should be a much better tennis player than she has been to this point of her career. Venus had her left knee treated early in the first set but she still covered the court great after that.
