Didn't expect straight sets.

What's with all the tight hugging at the net? Hilarious in slow motion, looked like they were going for a kiss a la SEWTA

Lol, Rafa sucking up and talking how Andy Murray will win a slam soon.

Am putting Murray into the "will never win a Slam" box along with Demented. What the hell was that game. And yet you and everyone else gave me an unending amount of shit for saying this FIVE SLAMS AGO. Out of the two-year period encompassing 2009 and 2010, a maximum of ONE Slam will be won by someone not named Federer or Nadal. Looking pretty good at the moment, but I certainly give Berdshit a fighting chance on Sunday, and the 2010 USO will be a stern test for both those guys, for completely different reasons.

OUCH OUCH OUCH I agree with Leena here. Specifically, it's this which I think couldn't be more wrong: Out of the two-year period encompassing 2009 and 2010, a maximum of ONE Slam will be won by someone not named Federer or Nadal. I mean...for this to happen, you need both Djokovic and Murray not to improve any further (and maybe even regress - we know how they can both beat up on Fed in Masters events), and for Fed to get no slower and no worse. If Nole and Andy fail to win Slams in this period, it'll be because of Rafa, not Rog. Ouch. Just razzing you of course.

I'm still confident Muzza will win a slam, probably a few. He's got lots of time. 20 or so good chances left. And with Roger fading, it gets easier.

This has been a frustrating match. It's on Ahndeh's racket but he's not consistent enough to bang winners. And every time he needs to hold, you know he'll try hitting 170mph 1st serves, miss every one of them, and eventually get broken. Halfway through the third set, he'd apparently won more points. But none of the important ones. He's firmly in choker territory now.

But not his mind, for the foreseeable future at least.

Also, more important things, namely the continued awesomeness of Andrea Petkovic:

But not his mind, for the foreseeable future at least. If his game was more suited for the current demands of the Tour, his mental state would be either more prepared for matches like these, or irrelevant. But yes. I wholly expect the Berdych/Muzza double to cap off 2010, and it would be highly deserved.

Weirdly, the way Djokovic and Murray lost seemed identical to me, and not just because of the scorelines. The manner of their losing was so similar. It was a bit like watching the same match twice.

I don't get it either, but my 85-year-old Mom loves him and says he's so cute. Hobak Dokovic: getting the gays and the elderly hot since 2007. I'm both and he doesn't make me hot.He looks old.

Murray's playing really well and threatening the Nadal serve almost every time but seems to just miss on every crucial point that would give him the break. And Rafa is nailz, mentally. Gamewise they're almost evenly matched but mentally Rafa is streets ahead. STREETS AHEAD!

Oh, and before I forget today's topic: RAFA FTW! Yet another RG-Wimbledon double would look nice on his resume, I think.

Murray - I need to accept that he is a good for nothing Dementieva/Jankovic type who will never amount to anything. As is the case with all my faves. Allez Muzza or something.

Meanwhile, was this televised? Jonas Bjorkman(SWE) / Todd Woodbridge(AUS) def. Richard Krajicek(NED) / Michael Stich(GER) 6-3 7-6(6) Jonas & MS
