Also, I am going with my friends to watch "I hate love stories" which is a Bollywood movie - can't decide if this final is worth skipping for that. It's SEWTA so I think I'm safe.

It'll be like 6-4 6-4 or something. But I'll watch, because it's Bepa in a Slam final. None of the articles I've read about her meltdowns have mentioned the classic New Haven one against Smashnova, and it's not on Youtube

Hingis against Austin, Wimbledon 2010. How ridiculous is that.

I'm sure John McEnroe twice said 'ace' when he meant 'double fault'. Bit of Alzheimers there, I think.

Well, that was a dreadful shot to hand over the second set break, Bepa.

Serena way, way too strong. Insane serving. There wasn't much Vera could do.

Ali is winner! I see people cared a ton for Everybody's 2nd Favorite in a slam final.
I don't believe that was on TV anywhere.

So Serena didn't lose a set the whole tournament? And never even played a Top 10 player? Lol In Australia she only beat 1 in Azarenka. Schiavone's run looks more impressive on paper.
And obviously Top 10 sucks anyway, that's why they lost early.

Her draw wasn't easy, though. Leena, Maria, Chalky. It's not Serena's fault Championship Weekend blew up for her.
It is Serena's fault that she's such a childish creature that I cannot care about her winning, though. 13 slams. Meh.

I woke up an hour into the match to find it almost over, and decided to go back to bed. I had calculated that purposefully, as I didn't want to get up at 9 for an hour-long match.
I will get up for the men tomorrow, though.

It's been a long time coming, but here we are with the Bepa tears and racket-throwing. They're losing or blowing leads? Vera is usually composed vs top players because she can accept that they're better then her. It's when she's sure she should be beating this player or when she's blowing away leads - this is when she starts her tantrums.

Being upset because you lost 2 GS finals in one day is normal, but only Vera would start crying after the first set. Its partly why I like her, but because I like her I wish she wouldn't.

Ha, I don't know anything about Rinaldi. I think maybe she was out of the game before I started following it. I like this: Q. Vania, how does it feel being Wimbledon champion? VANIA KING: Kind of scary.

IIRC, Rinaldi was a decent double player for a long time.
But just how embarrassing is this loss of Hingis / Porni, even if it's just an exhibition. Normally Hingis with __________ should win easily against teams of old geezers.

No, I saw Kathy play a few times. I believe in the ol' LA Forum against Old Hag once, and she got destroyed. Admittedly most of my knowledge of Rinaldi comes from the wtaworld troll that used her name as an account ;D From what I gathered, she was promising as a teenager but spent a lot of time working on her glamorous image. She made the top 10, got a wrist injury, then came back. Then broke her thumb after falling down the stairs which took her out of the game for a long time and never had much success in singles after that. Oh and she apparently HAAAAATES Andrea Temesvari, though that might've just been the troll under her wtaworld account.
