Nalbandian going to the drop shot once too often, but he's picked up his play. I'm enjoying this match.

Whoa. Tuned in with Tsonga serving at 5-2, 30-0 in the final set. A couple of points from victory, you'd think. Two pinpoint Petzschner lobs, one incredible return and a Tsonga UE later...not the case!

And he held, with Tsonga visibly on edge...but he has to break again now...
Atmosphere sounds incredible, raucous in the best way.

I've been wrong constantly so far this tournament. Nalbandian DID win in five. With that gut.
Kim's stats from the Safina match: 17 winners, 4 UEs.
Dinara was candid in her presser. Somebody tried to console her by mentioning Davenport's double bagel of Sharapova in '05. And she said yeah, but last week I also lost 6-0 6-1 so it's a bit worse than that.
Kim has some talented opponents. Carla from Cheers, MJMS, and rematch with Petrova in the fourth round. But at this rate none of those girls will likely do more than Safina against her.

This Fat Dave match is fun to watch even as a rerun. I only caught the very end live, so I didn't realize that Hewitt was up 2 sets to one and 2-0, 40-30 in the 4th. Fun to hear the commentators praise Hewitt and put Nalbandian down, knowing that the Fat one is going to prove them so very wrong. Have you got flu, Hurley? Are you watching this replay?

I watched the end on TTC again, that was at 1 PM...and I don't think I have the flu. I have nasal congestion and some post-nasal so I'm hoping it's a small cold and nothing else. I would have gone to work had it not massively freezing rained last night and all cars were covered in one inch of ice, but that clinched it.

Ah yes, the ice. janiehub started the day working from home because of that, then went in later when it turned to slush. Tell your boss that MLKJr getting just 1 day per year in his honor is a travesty and an insult to All That Is Good, so you took 2 days off and naturally assumed that everyone else would, too. Except for Arizonians, of course. The sad thing for me is that I feel a little bad for Hewitt, long my most hated player, after this match. Can I be going soft??

If my bosses want to bitch me out for taking a sick day, they should probably stop giving me TWENTY-FIVE paid sick/vacation days a year. Just a thought.
