Lertcheewakarn vs. Kr. Pliskova in the battle of never-wases for the main draw Which is sad in the case of the lefty Pliskova. Gorgeous game unless she's required to actually move her feet. Sister is the same. But I'll take what I can get, like whomping the horrid Fichman, which was good and unexpected.

I saw that Pliskova against CAKE at Wimbledon. She's just terrible. It's not even like Robson or Sharapova, where they do try to move, they just can't do it well. Pliskova looks like she's starting to sulk at just the idea of having to take even one step. Glad the bratty Fichman is out, but as bad as Lurch is, she's still preferable to either Pliskova.

I was hoping Leena would be giving us some match reports. Maybe she still will.

Taylor Townsend served for the match against Robson, but was broken

Robson scraped through, 7-6 in the third Hopefully she's exhausted for her match later today against The Famous HKG!

7-0 in the TB, I see. Poor small child! I like Robson but yeah, exhaustion and a loss to HKG allll the way now.

Dubois delivers the bicycle wheels to Brodsky. I did NOT expect that at all. Maybe Dubois is actually ready for prime time! (I did not pick her to qualify.) Looks like I was right in the first place. Of course Dubois is attracted to the LL ball, so she'll probably end up walloping Lucic on Tuesday.

Lurch winning and Larcher losing = a good day in qualies. Dubois' loss was pathetic. Maybe she's so used to getting into Slams as LL that she didn't bother trying?

Is the LL rule for Slams still drawing one of the four highest ranked Q3 losers at random? So it'd be one of Dubois, Gallovits-Hall, Hlavackova and Minella. That...is an uninspiring selection. Please no one w/d
