Tomic just hit a backhand down-the-line slice winner! From the baseline! And it was awesome!

Very tight game at 5*-6 on Dolgo's serve. 2 set points saved so far.
I love watching those 2 play!

Tomic wins the tie-break 7-0. We'll see how Dolgo's fitness is.

That slice BH winner was awesome.
Dolgo losing that TB to love was not awesome! Still, best match I've seen yet - a lot of the time I realise I have no idea what the score is, I'm just enjoying them hit so much.

Q. Any thoughts about players breaking their racquets on the court? Do you think that helps out?
SERENA WILLIAMS: That's an interesting question, and different. Thank you.
I actually used to break a lot of racquets on the court. I sometimes break them in practice, just not in a match anymore.
I think when you're young it kind of maybe lets out a little frustration. It just is a way to express yourself. I think those players are super, super intense. So I can't necessarily go and say you shouldn't do that when I was actually someone that did it a lot.
I got to a place where I could see how many places I could crack in a racquet. I got five. This is great.
But it's definitely not the best way to release your anger. I think the older you get, you realize there's more different ways.

Oh, Serena! She reminds me of the people in reports on the Daily Show when the person interviewed has no self-awareness at all. And you feel awkward on their behalf.

Dolgopolov has lost two points behind his first serve so far. Sadly his first serve percentage is 33%

LMAO, Tomic wins the point with BH down-the-line winner! Commentator: "Oh, it's his trademark, it's the 1st time we've seen it today".
So question: how can it be his trademark if we see it for the 1st time the 3rd set tie-break?

Tomic lying and fabricating! "I didn't challenge" smh Damn, I go out to have some lunch and miss all the drama I wonder if people will hate him more now, I'm afraid that will force me to like him.

Tomic stuck his racquet up and looked at the ump mid-rally, hit ball back anyway, Dolgopolov then hit it out - ump said he didn't think that counted as a challenge by Tomic, Tomic denied it, Dolgopolov called it "a shitty decision", crowd went BOOOOOOO and Dolgopolov started goading them a bit

Tomic probably did try to challenge and then maybe changed his mind, but then again, what would have happened had the rally continued? On the other hand Dolgopolov should continue playing until the umpire stops him. Messy, messy situation. Did they show if the ball was out? (that one that 'wasn't a challenge')

ES commentators making up their own players. Laszlo Lacko is tougher to pronounce than Lukas Lacko, so why going for such name?

Julia in full error mode. And she's too slow to reach the drop shots. Don't see her coming back. Looks like she did, though. Congrats to her, but I'm sorry for Romina. She should never lose to someone who's slow to reach her wily drop shots!

AMG twisted her ankle and is probably gonna retire. And that happened in one of those rare points where she dictated the rally.

Yeah, apparently the same happened to her against Seles in the 4th round of AO in 2002.

Tomic-Dolgirl might be worth watching on replay this afternoon, even though I usually hate watching sports in rerun form.

Yeah, apparently the same happened to her against Seles in the 4th round of AO in 2002. I remember that. But she ripped up her knee that time; it was a torn ACL. So the recovery from this one, even if it's a fairly severe sprain, won't be like that time, thankfully.

Yeah, apparently the same happened to her against Seles in the 4th round of AO in 2002. Yes and I dared to post a thread on Seles' insensitive behaviour on the court which caused a huge uproar from the Selestards lol.

What did she (not) do?

Classy Seles did nothing. She just stood at the far end of the court, back towards the net, 'focusing'.

Thats what most players would do. Except Vera, of course. I remember that Monica had a nice maternal chat with her afterwards, though.
But, you are a known h8t0r.

Also didn't Becker once flap his arms about in the middle of a point, then carry on? At Wimbledon before Hawkeye.
