I guess Djokovic lost already.

Maybe someone will care when I point out that Bhupathi and Bopanna lost in the 2R, after all that strife.

And poor Sania has to play with Paes.

The press there isn't mincing words: "Bhupathi and Bopanna, who were at loggerheads with the AITA and arm-twisted the parent body into sending them as a pair, were no match for Gasquet and Benneteau — both of whom are singles specialists. The French pair broke the Indian pair’s serve on three occasions — once in the first set and twice in the second set. Bopanna, known for his booming serves, was broken twice in the second set despite the Indian pair leading 3-0. It was a match gifted on the platter to the French pair after they had a convincing lead, as Bopanna lost his serve in the fourth and ninth game of the second set respectively." www.firstpost.com/sports/bhupathi-bopanna-crash-out-of-mens-doubles-399192.htmlLucky for these two, there's also the largest blackout in the history of the world happening right now, so that'll take up most of the news.

I was also thrilled to see that "singles specialists" had become a thing.

Yikes. So I guess there will be no superstar doubles champ this time. Unless you count Ferrer or Tsonga ...
I like Bryan/Bryan here. There is much to be said for being able to play with the guy you actually usually play with.
I wonder what will happen with Tipsarevic/Zimonjic and Benneteau/Gasquet?

Lisicki/Kas take the first set against Huber/Bryan. They are drilling hard on Huber.

Semifinal day - time to really care! Hlavackova/Hradecka take the first set 6-1. I like their relentless hard-hitting, even though I think they are both bitches.

Czechs def. Team Huber 6-1 7-6 after saving a SP in amazing fashion at 5-6. Now just one more loss and Horn-Huber is medalless.

Tsonga/Llodra vs. Lopez/Ferrer 6-3 4-6 9-9.
The Frenchies wasted like 5 BP at 8-8, then came back from 0-40 in the next game.

The Frenchies serving for it after saving quite a lot of match-points.
Choking definitely a possibility.

Spaniards hold after 0-40. Some bad returns from Tsonga who might just be the one fucking it up in the end.

Out of nowhere, the Frenchies break again after an incredible reflex from Llodra. Ferrer smashes racquet.

No, it's Ferrer who fucks up the last three points as the break of serve also broke him mentally. Nice kissing and hugging scenes with the Frenchies.
