I don't think Burdette is going to worry too much about going back for her senior year at Stanford after seeing how she matched up against Shrieker.

Serbtards are now convinced that Our Nole is the reason why Sharapova has broken off her engagement, and that it also explains his mini-slump lately, since he was worried that she might be pregnant with his baby.

Ha! Good one. Am glad Andy took care of Tomic. Unfortunately our other retiree, the Saintly one, could end up titling here, in Mixed. Who knew she paired up with a Bryan? So she could get her fancy sendoff after all.

I wonder how many people are going to stick around in the stadium for the rest of this, after Azza blanked Jie in a 20-minute first set.

Jie could not reach the one hour mark.
Maria, Azza, Serena. No wonder I don't like women's tennis anymore.
Burdette-Maria ... It's not fun watching Maria clobber these people. That was my thought. Every rally is over in four or five shots. So much ear-splitting screaming. No chance for Burdette to win at all.

Why scream when you don't even need to fight hard? Screeching = effort is such a false equation. More reasons to hate Bernie! The way Tomic capitulated in the final set will be what troubles him and his team most.
Afterwards, John McEnroe said the Australian was not trying in the final set. Tomic said: "He was probably right," but afterwards was involved in an angry exchange with a reporter.
"That's how I play," Tomic said. "Do you have a problem with that?"
When the questioner replied that he wanted Tomic to give his side of the story, the teenager fired back:
"That's your prediction. I have mine. That's how I play. If you think that's that, it's up to you. What is your name?"
When the journalist told him his name and the organisation he represented, the Australian world number 43 hit back menacingly: "I'll remember you."Of course everyone is fearful of being remembered by Bernie!
