I won't be able to watch the SFs (Or, I can't be bothered to do battle with my stubborn body clock for them.) And Nole/Fit Dave will be a snooze. So, no tennis for me unless some JNOC are streamed. Li looked like she had Sharapova's number in 2010-11 but bizarrely last year seemed to develop a bit of a mental block against her - not turning up at all in Miami, choking a huge lead in Rome. And obviously Maria is in particularly good form. I think Na is playing more conservatively these days, which means she's better able to win despite her patches of errors, but nullifies the tools she needs to beat Maria. Stephens...well, if Hampton could make an impact against Azarenka, Sloane can as well. She's confident, much improved and I don't think will be overawed by the occasion. But I still think this multi-Slam champion talk is nonsense. Nole/Ferrer, I can't imagine why anyone would watch this.

BG feels Sloane has a chance because Vika is gonna wilt in the heat. I doubt it. She won this thing last year so I think she'll be ok this time.
Nole is going to destroy Ferrer. 2, 5 and 3?

I knew Na would win but not THAT scoreline! Very happy and hope Na wins the final (as I predicted 2 weeks ago). Fucking Azarenka already up a break.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck yeah Li Na. Beautiful result to wake up to. So much life to be given so early in the morning. I AM ALIVE. Suck it, Sugarpova!
Most one-sided crowd in a Slam final in aeons? Way more confident about Na's chances against Vika than Ma$ha.

Na Na Na COME ON.
Well I would have been happy to see Maria win the whole thing, just to topple the insufferable Vuvuzela off the top spot, but this will also do! Don't let me down in the final, Na!
The other match just sounds gross. Such an embarrassment. Could a tennis player get any more unlikeable just for PLAYING and being... ON THE COURT? Can't think of anyone who comes close!

Na's win gave me so much happiness!! Best result in this slam so far! I hope she can bring it to the final as well. But what really happenned? Masha looked so good all tournament.
I missed Azza's 'gamenship' again, so I dont care about it. MTO due to nerves? Priceless, everyone should do it now! She was winning before MTO, right?

Novak let David win five games. That was nice.
Look. I hate Muzza's face so I want him to lose to Fed. But I think this is Novak's tournament. He did his favorite thing where he pretends to lose and then doesn't and will now crush everyone.

And this is odd, if Ma$ha's the biggest sports star on the planet; have never heard of this happening at the AO before:
" ... the women’s semifinals on Thursday were not sold out and where there are still tickets available for the women’s final on Saturday (the later men’s rounds have long been sold out)."
So the biased crowd, were they pro-Leena or pro-Masha? I'm thinking everyone's fed up with this screeching.
As for Azza, apparently she had a rib thing happening, not just nerves.
But GOOOOO LEEEE NAAAAAA!

Seriously, it would be much easier if he just went all Peak Pierce on everyone. Na Na That's something I certainly didn't expect! No complaints about the final from me.

Well, here's offered explanation, whether people will believe her is another matter As it turned out, Azarenka claimed that she was literally choking. She could not breathe. A rib and back problem had been bothering her for a couple for days and suddenly got worse during the second set, round about the time when she dropped her serve in the seventh game. “I'm telling you what happened right now honestly, that my back was bothering me,” she said in her post-match press conference. “It took me too long of a time to call the trainer, which was my mistake. I took it to the point where I couldn't breathe, which was causing from my back problem, and I couldn't really figure out what was going on on the court. When the trainer told me that was the rib that was blocking that, my back, that's what happened. “When you cannot breathe you start to panic. I was really panicking, not because I couldn't convert my match point. That's not the case. I mean, I'm experienced enough to go over those emotions. But when you cannot breathe, when something's really blocking you, the stress, that was the stress I was talking about. I just couldn't realise what was going on with me.”As for her response to the on-court interview question by Channel 7’s Sam Smith, she felt that was a simple misunderstanding. “I think I just really misunderstood what she asked me because the question was I had few difficulties and why I went off,” Azarenka explained.“I completely thought of a different thing, why I couldn't close out of match, you know, that I had few difficulties. So I understand the whole situation right now, but it just really simple misunderstanding of a question.” So Azarenka lives to fight another day, and Stephens is heading for the airport. But the American will be back. Her ranking ought to move up to No.17 in the world, and with the confidence and experience she has gained from her run here, she will head for Roland Garros, Wimbledon and Flushing Meadows with a new spring in her step. In the meantime, Azarenka has Li Na to face on Saturday.

I opened video of highlights from Na's match on AO site, and first few were all Maria, while the scoreline was all in Na's favour, lol.
I see Maria started basically roaring in the 2nd instead of grunting, wonder whether anyone (Gilbert, Cahill) complained about that the way they went on about Jovanovski.
