Poor Haas

The way Wuss handed over the final break of his loss to Gimeno Traver was so pathetic. And why is he still playing from 7000 miles behind the baseline.

Grisha chokes for the set against a top player AGAIN.

Holy shit, that set was going to the exact SEATP playbook right until Nole blew two SPs of his own and Grisha took the set anyway!

I dislike Dimitrov so I am not going to be overjoyed if this happens. Which obviously won't.

Jeez, the commentator is acting like he is watching his own mother get injured on court.
And YES, WE DO REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED IN BOISE. It wasn't the first time in history of sports that someone got injured.

God. Nole is now inviting the crowd to play with his dick.

Wow, Dimitrov won!
I actually tuned in at the end of the 1st set and then at the end of the 3rd, both time just to see how Grisha choke this away. Unfortunately I missed the drama of the 2nd.
I have seen Dimitrov matches vs Rafa and Novak now and I quite like his game.
He needs to improve his fitness though if he ever wants to achieve anything.

What a lovely result. I don't mind Novak these days but this win for Dmitrov was definitely overdue. I'm really excited that he finally did it. This is a nice early 22nd birthday present for him.
The slide for Tipsarevic seems to be taking forever. He's still seeded #9 despite losing 32892895391 matches this year.
It occurs to me that Grigor has another big test coming up in the person of Stan.
The draw is also now open for another Verdasco run now that he's squeaked past Milos in a breaker.

Literally went when I got in to see this result. I left at the end of the first set, checked in on Twitter to see that Nole had taken the second set in dramatic style and Grisha was cramping, so assumed the third would be a formality...which it wasn't. How did a cramping Dimitrov beat Nole after choking so much?! Oh, tennis. FeVer seems to get inspired in Madrid, he was 1-4 down in the TB against Raonic and played a few amazing points to claw back into it. Then Raonic completely stuffed up his last two service points.

The second set was ridiculous. At one point Nole got injured - seems to have reinjured his ankle - got a treatment and was fine soon after. But at that point something happened to the crowd. They must have thought he was faking it because they turned completely against him, chanting "DI-MI-TROV, DI-MI-TROV" repeatedly, booing and whistling him and cheering loudly on his errors and even missed first serves. Even I thought it was too much! But that seemed to have inspired him and soon after Dimitrov started cramping, which at first probably looked more dramatic than it really was, and Novak managed to turn it around and win the set. At that point he went nuts and shouted to the crowd "You're going to lick my dick now! MY DICK!!!", which was a rather strange thing to say. He seemed to have all the momentum on his side going into the third and I thought he was going to streamroll over Grigorov, but that.... totally didn't happen. He got broken straight away and never actually got into it.
Very weird math. Totally anti-playbook.

I forgot that Madrid ALWAYS sees a ton of bonkers upsets.

This sounds worse than the Azza meltdown. Can you imagine her screaming to the crowd "You're going to lick my cunt now! MY CUNT!!!"
WTF.

She would have been raked over the coals if she had...I'm not a fan of Azza or her behaviour, but there's certainly a double standard here. The closest comparisons I can think of are Sharapova's "allez up your fucking ass!" (which no one in the crowd heard) or maybe Chakvetadze goading the Israeli Fed Cup fans, though she did it non-verbally.

Sooooo I was just praising Haas's game as he went up a break in the third vs Ferrer because it's SO crowd-pleasing and his BH is so pretty and then he went and choked, loose FHs everywhere. One more BH for the highlights reel to save a MP but it wasn't enough

You can easily switch from one court to another if you stay at the back, and on court Sanchez-Vicario/3 you can sit very close. All the seats in CC are good. Tickets aren't expensive considering it's a mandatory combined event. It's very modern and it's easy to relax in the main stadium and enjoy the air-con.

I think that I found it small and cramped. I don't like crowds in very small spaces. Tickets were cheap, though, this is true.
