I've had enough. This is the worst I've seen Nole play in years. WHY NOW You're lucky you didn't see the end! But at least Nole tried hard in that final game. But ugh.

Turns out I was rooting for Andy after all. Really happy for him. Really excited about how this might change how tennis is seen in this country

He still can't believe it! It's touching.

I'm happy for Andy. But really Novak played about as bad a match as I've seen from him since his ascendance.

NOW they love you, Novak! The only thing you had to do was to lose!

Remember how Andy was losing all his GS finals in straight sets? He's come a long way.

Well, if he keeps getting in the finals he's bound to win a few.

NOW they love you, Novak! The only thing you had to do was to lose! Okay, okay, trying to be happy for UK and Andy. Just wish regular Nole had showed up for the match. At least the final game was exciting. I wasn't able to give the match my full attention because I had company here, but maybe that's just as well, as it turned out.

Cannot get used to the idea that ANDY MURRAY is current holder of 2 Major titles. Really?

It was a shit match. Nole had 2:1 UE/W ratio for most of the match, which takes some doing with the kindest Wimbly scorers. Good for Muzza, but I'll skip the nationalistic nonsense. Meanwhile, Ted WATTS in the chair for geezer doubles, looking like he ate a few players. And Jana really can't play anymore.

It was a bad match but those things don't really matter. Murray graduating to multi-Slam champion status is the most significant aspect of this, especially after struggling in so many finals. So weird to think he holds more Slams than anyone else!

Well, neither final went my way, but I still say it was the most fun Wimbledon fortnight in a long time. JMDP was a huge, huge highlight for me, and the shouted-about early upsets of tennis big shots ended up feeling like an insignificant footnote instead of "the big story". Who's even thinking about Nadal or Federer today? Nobody. Take that, journos.

So weird to think he holds more Slams than anyone else! Indeed! I was thinking that. Hell of a 12 months he's had for himself, isn't it? I couldn't help during the speeches that he's still lagging heavily in the charisma department, though. Novak I don't necessarily find all that attractive until he's smiling and sharing his lovely accent with the cameras. Then Murray comes over and bores up the place. Quite the jarring difference.

Ali, I apologize for disagreeing with your dumb friend on your facebook wall. She was being dumb and I thought that she needed to be told. Then I remembered that I'm 31 and now I'm going to go do other things.

Watching the conclusion now...
This would feel more fitting if Muzza had to step up, and maybe he would have if Nole didn't have a terrible day. Announcers can tell me how IMPROVED he is, 2008 Andy would have won this too. I feel like he kept trying and finally got the right draw to win. At least with the USO win, you can point out that fitness and his big muscles did matter in the end.
But, this is going to happen more with Roger and Rafa getting old. I need to get used to it. Just don't go to SEWTA levels, please.

I just really hope Delpo can step it up now.
Mladenovic impressing me in the mixed doubles final.

Nestor/Mladenovic saved two MPs (on Kiki's serve - both Soares and Raymond flopped their returns) en route to this win. Happy for Kiki, who's really growing on me.
