CBS really chose Serena/Venus for their prime TV match tomorrow
That should tell you how dead tennis will be here when the Sisters finally go away

It doesn't seem dead to me today. I'm loving this JJ-Nara match. Who'd have thought??

Yeah, her latest singles definitely leave something to be desired. TFM was very good but since then, meh. I enjoyed "Americano" and "Government Hooker" from BTW.
Nice second set that JaJa pulled out from 5-2. Nava didn't really believe she could win though, but she's cute. And TINY.
I'm just gonna go to bed I think.[/old]

Apparently Errorni and Vinci don't get along well these days, so maybe Hingisova has a chance today, especially as Errani might feel like flying home ASAP.

And so far Hingis is horrible. LOL@her second serve.

Hingis hit some nice shots in the last 2 games. Can't see them winning that match though.

Hantuchova challenging a 2 inches out serve when it's right in her face.
Still lolling at Hingis' second serve.

Oh no!! What a sad-sack ending. So many mistakes from Martina, but so many great shots, too! Hope she'll stick around and scrape off the rust. Errani was danged good.

Meanwhile, Murray's down in this set to the Argie Mayer? time to check this out before he turns it around. I've never seen this Mayer!

"Maybe she should pick a different partner!!!!!!" Ends with consecutive double faults on her serve; partner headed to QF of singles.

"Maybe she should pick a different partner!!!!!!" Ends with consecutive double faults on her serve; partner headed to QF of singles. Yeah, that's just silly. Hingis in her prime won with all manner of partners, not all of whom were such great shakes when playing with other partners. Anyway, apparently Dani's the one who talked Hingis into coming back. Maybe they just should have practiced more before returning straight to the big leagues. With Molitor on the sidelines.

Back to Hin-Han: I hope Dawn Marie was watching. She may have to change her idea about who was messing up out there. ;D

Sigh, disappointing
I'm not the biggest Del Porto fan, but SEATP really needs a power type like him to be good. He's a necessary matchup for the top guys

Absolutely disgusting result. When will Hewitt GO AWAY. On the one hand, glad I didn't see it live; on the other, IT STILL HAPPENED AARGH. And as Leena said we really need Delpo to be good.
Gaga's peak was The Fame Monster but I don't know if she's really waning. Born This Way was a mess but an entertaining mess with a few great songs. The pretentious babble around Artpop makes me roll my eyes but that's a constant with her, and "Applause" is OK. I think she's in it for the long haul.

So Hingis lost her first Mixed match, too. Oops! But they still won't leave her alone about a singles comeback:
She said she would continue playing with Hantuchova in tournaments in Asia, but dismissed out of hand a return to singles.
“God, give me a break,” she said. “No, I haven’t given any more thought to it. I have a hard enough time trying to cover half the court. Full court is a completely different ball game.
“But I always enjoyed the big stage, and you saw the people that came today. You don’t see such a crowd in women’s doubles, normally.”

Gaga's music career may be leveling off, but she's done a great job being an ultra-liberal shill for the media. She's solidified her relevance in culture by being an annoying fuck.

So Hingis is in it for the attention.
Did she really double fault three times to end the match?

I thought it was only 2. It might have been 3, but it was definitely 2.
