I feel like Azarenka played much better in the first set. Some really unexpected shotmaking until 5-4. She won the second set with guts, not shots.

Whoa! Looks like I've missed a lot, huh? I don't mind, though. Can't abide those SW histrionics, glad Azza somehow won a set.

Vika wins a great touch point at net but DFs on BP. But way too soon to write her off...

Pretty limp collapse from Vika now. How can you be so NAILZ in the second set TB and then just give away service games like that?

I can't believe how poorly she played the third set. Honestly, it would have been better had Serena won 7-5 7-5 and we could call it a pretty decent effort.

I'm tired of her celebrations, I changed the channel immediately.
It was like those matches when ASV would keep it close with Steffi in one set and somehow managed to steal the other one and you think the momentum is on her side, but then you blink and she's already lost it.

The thing about the final set is that Serena didn't come out firing, she was still an emotional mess for the first three games. Vika didn't put the boot in and then just gave it away.

I think Serena's at the point when any Slam she wins can be her last one but on the other hand she can easily win like 5 more. It will probably be the latter.

Wow, disappointing to see how that went from the time I checked in! Sheesh, Veeka. But oh, well. If she couldn't win it without some massive SW meltdown happening, then I'm glad she didn't win it. She needs to improve in the earlier round so she's got more mental strength left for the final. Congrats to Serena, have to respect that she played and played and played all year for once.

YASSSS! I had the same reaction Serena did at the end of this match - I thought she'd choked when she lost the second set; such a relief she got through. I want her to get to 25 Slams. Lol! But no seriously like Edna said, anything could happen and not be surprising. Second consecutive Slam works out perfectly for me. For the women's side anyway. If Rafa wins then it's a double double.

Feels like we got a bit lucky with Serena winning only 2/4 Slams this year.
A strange feeling came over me today ... I wanted Serena to win. There's no denying it. I guess ... Viktoria played so poorly this event, I didn't think she deserved it.
I don't get the feeling this is Serena's last Slam. She's still better than Azarenka, and she damn sure is better than Sharapova. There is no one else.
