She is playing this tournament from 8th to 11th November 2005!! She is playing in Black Group with her French compatriot Amelie Mauresmo, Russian Lena D (Elena Dementieva) & Belgian Kim Clijsters!! In first match, she defeated Kim 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 to got the first victory since six years ago & revenge in three single matches (include the semi final of Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2003, the final of Open Gaz de France 2004, the final of U.S. Open 2005)!! ;D In second match, she defeated Lena D 6-2 & 6-3 to average her loss in the first match at the final of FED Cup (France VS Russia) this year!! ;D In third match, she defeated Amelie Mauresmo 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 to advance semi finals!! ;D Well done!! Mary Pierce!! I wish you can defeat an American Lindsay Davenport tomorrow!!

And she did. Great match from Mary, SO focussed the entire time! Just an incredible year she's had; it's great to see.

Highly likely to beat Amelie tomorrow.
Amazing stuff from Mary... just stay healthy for the 1st half of next year, and there's a great chance she can be #1.

Leena, I hope you're right that Mary will win today. Her stats yesterday were incredible, I think I read 40 winners to 10 UEs, and 10 aces. My only concern is her body with its usual twinges and injuries, because she looked like she pulled something at the end there yesterday. Anyway, having reached 2 Slam finals this year, and having beaten the #1 player, it would be great to see her break through in this thing and actually take the title. I like Amelie, but she pissed me off with her late-match choking against a smirking Sharapova. So glad she got herself in hand and finished that, but reaching the final is already good for her; she doesn't need to win it to feel she's turned her season around.

In the semi final, she defeated Lindsay Davenport twice set 7-6 to advance the final.
But she lost to Amelie Mauresmo 7-5, 6-7, 4-6 in final, so she got the runner-up only......
Also, the tennis season of this year was over......
