Anabel prevailed 9-7. Her opponent may have had matchpoint on Anabel's serve at 7-6 ... wasn't watching closely. Loit 4-2. Petrova broken to start against Morigami. Hee, and Akiko just saved two BPs.

Fedak d. Brandi. Well, at least Kristina's not going to horribly defeat anyone this time. The Brandi 4r threat has passed ...
Loit 6-2 in the 2nd.

Ojweh, the Petrova-haters will have a field day. I'm betting she'll come back and win. But hey, here's your first round match of interest under the 32 seed system, jerkface.

Aravane and her bad dad had a dust-up with Chak and Ves over a practice court dispute. Bad dad claims he was hit on the forehead with a racquet and the Russians had to go the medical clinic.
I tell you, the Rezais are bad news, don't say I haven't been warning you!
