Q. Normally you are very much into the understanding of tennis. Have you realized that youngsters really hit the ball hard, and this is no longer the style of tennis that you and Gaudio play, which is slower?
JUAN CARLOS FERRERO: Slower? I don't know. I think I was hitting the ball hard, especially the forehand. Gaudio hits harder than a number of people who you could name, particularly with a backhand. I don't think there are many people who hit a harder backhand.
I don't think what you just said makes much sense.

From the AP: The newspaper L'Equipe does a daily Q-and-A with a tennis player during the French Open, giving a series of choices to make. Williams was the subject of Friday's piece, and the final query was whether she prefers U.S. President Bush or his predecessor.
Her response, according to the sports daily: "Clinton. I really like him, but doesn't everyone?"

Q. Did you admire someone in particular when you were young?
SHAHAR PEER: Actually, yes. I really liked Seles. She was my favorite player. I really liked her, how she was on the court, and how she was behaving and playing. And after was Capriati.
But more Seles, I think.

Ugh, boring. This is the real QOTD: Q. Years ago it was quite known in Davis Cup, [Yeltsin] didn't bring much good luck to Volkov when he came to the match. Now that he's not a politician, now it's Putin the president, do you think it can change and he can bring good luck? We also remember Clinton, he was a politician, not any more the president. Do you think this is superstitious? ANASTASIA MYSKINA: Well, you know, for Volkov, most of the time only girls bring the good luck. It's a different story.
