In 1986 Hana Mandlikova ranked 3 (well, I am not sure, lets imagine it is true) won the us open beating 2 and 1 top players, Cheesy (who said, when nav and me are in a tournament there are more than 95% chances of one of us winning) and Navertilova, Will fat dave beat the 2 top seeds? I dont know how to make a poll, so I give you numbers 1 - Yes, hell beat fed and rafa, and I hope that happens 2- Yeah, he will beat fed and rafa, but I don want that 3 - No, but what a shame 4 - No, for jesusfeds sake no 5 - He may sleep with Novotna

5, definitely 5.
He can, he won't, I hope he beats Fed, I hope he doesn't beat Nad.

If he beats Fed I want him to win the final. I don't think that he will beat Fed.

I don't think Mandlikova is a lesbian.

It was 1985.
I'll go with #5.
And I think Edberg did the same thing... one of those years he beat Boris and hapless Ivan on grass.

ah, yeah, thanks for the correction
Dave and Novotna kinda look similar, Novotna looks like his mother. I think it wouldnt be very hot, but sometimes you see couples that look like brother and sister (Kim and Hewitt for example)

Boris did it in 1989. Beat #1 Lendl in semis and #2 Edberg in final (actually the seeding order was somewhat questionable since Boris was ranked 2 but Edberg was last year's champ). Edberg did it in 1990. Beat #1 Lendl in semis and #2 Boris in final. *cry*
Why was Ivan seeded 1st both times.

I remember this one extra credit math problem in 9th grade which involved two tennis players named Hana Manholecover and Martina Nevertoloveher. I am fairly sure I got the extra credit points for solving it first. Strangely, they had both retired by then. Must have been a ditto.

I hope he wins. He's always so consistent, yet never quite gets to the ultimate prize. I don't he'd be able to handle both, even though they HAVE looked vulnerable.

It would be interesting if Fed won RG.
But Fatty winning it would be just awesome (as usanians say)

Actually, later in his career when he stopped being afraid of grass, Lendl wasn't bad at all on it. He did make the final of Wimbly and Aussie Open on it. And won Queens a few years, I believe. Although, being seeded #1 over Boris was still a bit questionable in those days when the clay courters didn't bitch and moan about being seeded poorly.

Yeah, he was decent. Although he never really got close to winning the title.
1986 - Boris thrashed him in the final. 1987 - Cash thrashed him in the final. 1988 - Boris defeated him comfortably in the semifinal. 1989 - Boris defeated him in 5 sets in the semifinal. That was probably his best chance as Edberg was somewhat shaky in that tournament so he might have won the final. Ivan was 2-1 sets and a break up. He had some bad luck too but I didn't mind that. 1990 - He prepared like never before only to get thrashed by Edberg in the semifinal. The end.

I hope Dave does it. Though I don't think he looks like Hana Mandlikova at all (who was darker-haired and looked more delicate than muscley... though more female players looked that way in '85).
