Did anyone see the men's quarters? All 3 setters, and one 4-setter.lol.
I would be impressed should juju win her 3 RG title. It would mean she defended a GS for the first time, and I'm sure that will spur her on to win Wimby.lol.
KC, is not mentally strong enough to handle juju. I also think emotionally, she's, somehow, at juju's behest. Maybe she admires her too much..I don't know. But juju's in her head.

Justine has the huge advantage in strategy on court.
Kim, basically, has none. She just fires away, and relies on her athleticism. Justine looped topspin junk deep in the rallies, pounded away when necessary, and realized to hit high shit to Kim's ugly forehand that she sprays nearly every shot. Her game is so much more high percentage than Kim's. And there's no way Kim can pound Justine consistently enough on clay to win.
Good stuff.
We'll see the same tomorrow... as Sweta's strategy plays right into Justine's hands. Justine will be patient, and let Sweta slug away to Justine's powerful backhand, and Justine won't give her short, weak replies... and Sweta will hit a ton of errors. The end.

What I was going to say before is that's what I think turned around their rivalry. Justine became more consistent, acquired more power and became a better counterpuncher and Kim just cannot overpower her as easily as she could in 2002 and before. Clay courts are an especially bad proposition for her to do that, as you mentioned. Their matches always seem to be Kim blinking first with the error in the long rallies and being unable to make it up with bing-bang-boom winners ala Serena or Lindsay.

I fell asleep during the JHH-Kim match. Literally. Martina Nav lost too. Sveta better stop Juju. She can't have the same number of RG singles titles as Monica. Why not? She's the best player on clay of the current generation ;D I'm clinging on to whatever little I have left of Monica. I miss her. And Justine of all people?! Barf.

Leelee, I like your summary of KC vs Juju, and I agree.
However, vs Sveta, I don't know so much. All their clay court matches have gone the distance. And what Sveta does to beat Juju, is give her high balls (something Patty did as well in Charleston). It bothers juju if she's not fully on, but we'll see tomorrow.
