Well ... some people probably figure out Rafa and then realise that they won't beat him no matter what. You can have the perfect gameplan but if you can't execute it perfectly ... Federer's gameplan, however, was far from perfect. Once he is in that trap of just rallying with him, there's no way out.

Roger will never beat Rafael again. Ever I'm not has disappointed as I was in Rome, but that was bad. It was a poor match, Rafael didn't play that well really, Roger played with no belief, he only got to the TB through that choke. Anyway, Rafael will go away now and hopefully someone will beat Roger at Wimby. I can't face another Sampras like domination. If these 2 start dominating at the US, then Mens tennis is in seriously trouble. I was going to say: Right, because rivalries are always really bad for tennis! But then I remembered: 6-1. But somehow, some people still believe Fed is the favourite in every match, so perhaps we can still call it that. Rafael will go away for four weeks at most - enjoy it while it lasts. How people can think Roger is the favourite for a match against Nadal is beyond me. It's all mental and Rafael has the battle won easy. Can't it be like 4 months

Not unless they plan on extending the grass court season. In which case, Rafa will have more time to adjust to the surface and you probably will only be rid of him for a few weeks anyways.

He has NO clue what to do with his backhand. High balls on the backhand = END. Troof. I was considering starting a MTF poll on whose backhand is worse: Fed's or Roddick's? But my moment has passed.

So, how far do we think Rafa can get at Wimbly.
I'll be positive, and say SF. Assuming he avoids a hot bug server, and Roddick in the QF.

Anybody know what Roj and Rafa said during the trophy presentation? I only saw the 1 hour highlights on BBC, they didn't show the speeches. Were there tears? Thanks .

Nah, Rafa is way too good to lose 1st round unless he's stuck against Ivo or Big Dick, or one of my beloved tall bug servers.
It's going to more about how Rafa can quickly adapt his game to grass. Which cannot be easy.
