I'm torn about Am-Maria. Since Am blabbed to Sports Illustrated that she "can't be friends with Justine any more" since the AO. But on the other hand, if Kim wins today, I'd rather have Amelie than Maria beat her in the final. Good luck to Jarkko, but he hasn't got a prayer. I love Rafa, but I'm itchy for something different.

I hope they'll switch to Nadal soon, this match bores me.

So far this match reminds me a lot of Baghdatis-Hewitt. One player has way more flair but also has lapses ---

Yes, Kim was very cold at the handshake! I liked that; for once, she wasn't "nice"! Congrats to Justine; well-played.

The tiebreak and Kim's service game for the set just seemed to happen so quickly ...
Was it just me or were there a lot of bad bounces in that match?
Kim took it to her, but never could sustain the advantage. If she'd made that easy forehand to move back to 30-40 in the 12th game she may have rallied in that game afterall, but alas, not to be. I thought she deserved set two and was gonna win it. Disappointing. I suppose the bottomline is that Kim just cannot overpower Justine anymore. She has no other gameplan now that that one stopped working.

Is ESPN actually going to show the remainder of Rafael's match over the second semifinal or will they switch back once the semi starts?

To me the bottom line is that when Kim has real opportunities against Justine in Slams, she plays very, very tight. She seemed to have some self-belief today until those crucial moments, like that forehand she blew to get broken at 6-5. If it had gone to 3 sets, like in Eastbourne, and she had a chance to serve for the match, it seemed like for sure she'd have blown all her service points.

Well, tight or not, I think the real problem is being unable to create enough offense against Justine. Kim has to pull out some very low percentage shots to do any damage and that's usually not going to win you matches.

Maybe the real bottom line is just that Justine is just way more talented than Kim. Justine = Baghdatis; Kim = Hewitt.
