OMG, she even made a thread about it. That's our Lizchris, she's by far my favourite Willies loony, whatever she says just makes me laugh.

There can be no doubt at this point that Fed, Rafa and Djoko are in a league of their own. No one comes remotely close. And it's enjoyable that they all have very different games.

Hey! She won! I saw the end of the match. Penis is just not good at tennis. Actually maybe -- MAYBE -- this tournament does truly signal the end of the Williams sisters. Where have I heard that before! So, Ivanovic will probably be World #2 after this event. At least she finally got a quality win. Fair enough.

This has been the best women's Slam ever since maybe any of the 2006 Slams, results wise. No Henin or Williams in the SF.
I'd be happy with any of them winning, but I'd honestly want Maria to win it all, and then the Serbians.

It's actually kind of exciting to have three non-Slam winners in the Final Four, I will admit.
An all-Serb final would be fantastic for tennis, if not fantastic tennis.

This would be a lot more fun if we didn't know who was winning the title.

This would be a lot more fun if we didn't know who was winning the title. You're probably right, but Ivanovic can give Maria a run, I think.

No, she won't.
If there's a positive, at least Maria is playing great tennis and is clearly the best player at this tournament. She's like a completely different player from last year. Her serve is technically sound again, and she's moving well.
Now if we could just get her to finally tell Yuri to die. And maybe do a Clearasil commercial with Jessica Simpson... I might tolerate her. Might.

Actually Jessica Simpson does Proactiv. I know because I have bad skin but recently dumped Proactiv. Sorry, Jessica. Maria needs to get clear skin first. I think Jankovic has a chance because she makes everyone suck. Also, it will be a (possibly hot) day match, and not a night match. Sharapova doesn't groove as much during the day. I also think Ana has a slim chance if she plays lights out. Hopefully she can beat Hantuchova... that should be like a 6-4, 6-4 or 7-6, 6-3 scoreline.

Ferrer is such a fighter. It's amazing that Djokovic beat him in straights at the USO and that he might do it again.

Oh, and I'm so proud of victory! That wasn't the cleanest of matches, but it was very dramatic and strategically interesting. I'm sorry, even Ana haters have to admit that the way she accelerates into her forehand, especially the inside out, is EXCITING! She makes you want to watch. And I lvoe her intensity with the AJDEs and the fist pumps. So cute. She loves the sport and I think she's on the verge of her 2nd Slam final. Novak struggling. This could still go 4! But Ferrer down 2 break points again. God, so crazy what happened to Heath ledger. It's really sad and scary. Celebrity deaths freak me the hell out, as well as death in general. I'll never be able to watch "10 Things I Hate About You" the same way. And of course it happens during the AO.

Novak 6-0, 6-3, 7-5 I'm excited for him versus Federer.

Oh, wow, Ana!
Both Serbians have a decent shot at beating Maria, a better chance than I'd have given them against their respective Williamses. It could happen. A first-time Slam champ would be grand. I kind of hope it's Jankovic.

Such a frustrating match for Blake tonight. He did have his chances, especially in the second set. What can you say, though ... I guess he's just not good enough to beat Roger. He might get a win over him some day, but on a big stage? I really doubt it.
Ferrer ... levelling the third set at 5 and then losing serve like he did was agonizing to watch. Djokovic was tired/choking/panicking. If David had held, he probably would've broken, or at least had a great shot at walking away with the tiebreak. Novak was serving at half-speed and not moving well. Instead, he fucked it up with stupid errors from 15-0 5-5. Sad.
I think Roger will beat Novak this time. And I think we'll have another Roger-Nadal final.

As for Ana and Daniela, congrats to both of them. Ana is a future Grand Slam champ, I think, and while this might not be the time, it's not far off. She has some serious weapons. As for Hantuchova, sure the draw was easy, but nobody will care in ten years. She gets to say she made a Grand Slam semifinal. And I can't say she doesn't deserve to. There have been worse (Alexandra Stevenson comes to mind). So with this result, Daniela will pass Serena for #8, but will need to make the final to surpass Venus and Chak for #6. According to my math.

"India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas moved into the semi-finals of the Australian Open men's doubles with a thrilling three-set win over top seeds Bryan brothers, Mike and Bob, of the US in the quarter-finals on Wednesday. Sixth-seeded Bhupathi and Knowles won 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (7-5) against the Americans in an encounter that lasted two hours 24 minutes."

It's too soon to say it's the end of the Williams sisters. If they are healthy they will be major factors at this years Wimbledon and U.S. Open. Another factor is that there are so few players that can beat Serena and Venus even when they aren't playing well. If the Williams sisters only play average tennis that is still better than most of the players in the top 10.

Danka played very well against Radwanska. She's just a delight to watch when she's playing this solid.
