It has come to my attention that this is kind of a really good match so far. Hopefully this continues.

It really is!
Djokovic breaks for the first time - the reflex return he got his BPs with was insane.

Leena's predict-a-score may end up being correct... ?

Nothing else except, you know, the further three Slam SFs he reached Grosjean doesn't get enough credit. Possibly because he's a monumental choker. Clement shouldn't have been in that final. Sigh.

It's so refreshing to have two young guys in a GS final and not Federer for once.

I really, really want to be excited about this and all into the match. It's a good match and while I prefer Nole, I'm happy either way. Buuuut, I got bad news from back home that is making me caring about this really difficult. I'd rather go out and get a stiff drink. Quick, somebody talk me out of this!

Hurrah for the asshole who decided to do DIY at 9am on a Sunday morning!

Get a stiff drink and drink it in front of the TV, Becca!

Sorry to hear that and I hope everything will be okay back home. If you go for a stiff drink, make sure it's in a bar that's playing the final. Which is probably nowhere in Korea? I wish I could pour you some of my whiskey.

Star Sports is showing the match, but there isn't really a sports bar in my end of town. There is one down in Seomyeon, but that is a good 40 minutes by subway. I suppose that I could taxi it, but I'd hate to show up to Rock N Roll and have them not be showing the match.
'lex's idea just might do. I can go to the store and buy a pitcher of beer for a couple of bucks.. hmmm. MAYBE!

Sorry to hear that and I hope everything will be okay back home. Thanks. I'll be okay. It's nothing to do with my family, they're all well, so far as I know. So, don't worry. Regardless, Novak was 17 when I first ogled him. I thought he was pretty hot then, but he's muuuuuuuuuuuch sexier now. The intensity is hot. This has nothing to do with the match, which is fantastic... I just feel better if I act like a Fan Girl right now, so I shall Fan Girl!

Yes, he is much sexier now. Back then he looked so young and scrawny and cute. Now he's buff with broad shoulders and super intense. I love those bulging eyes!!!! BULGE. Having said that, I also find Tsonga very very attractive.

A pitcher of beer, mmm...I wish I could join you all in cross-continental drinking, but it's 10.30 in the morning here. Which isn't to say I won't do it in an hour or so, as soon as I feel it's dignified to start drinking.
Djokovic has really upped his game: being a ton more aggressive than he was in the first set, putting more pressure on Tsonga, who is coming up with UEs accordingly.

Tsonga's not, like, fug or anything. I guess I just never go for men with round faces. I need angles! Such as the ones Djokovic has in abundance.

Tsonga doesn't do it for me, but he smiles a lot and has a good body. So, I can see the appeal.

Nole's family with his name written their matching jumpsuits... cute, or extremely annoying? I think that if I didn't like him, I'd want to punch them out. The great Roger Federer doesn't like Novak Djokovic. He finds Novak annoying which he can be at times. And his family too. But I think Djokovic is a breathe of fresh air in tennis mainly because he's a talented player with some personality. His tennis player imitations are very funny or were very funny when he first did them. ;D

Serbia one set from its first GS singles title! Novak was always going to be the first to do it before Ana or Jelena.
Tsonga is mentally and emotionally pooped, while Nole continues to get stronger and stronger. Tsonga's exhaustion is giving him fuel.

Seven set points! Tsonga played so well on all the ones he saved.

I remember some spat with the two of them back in Davis Cup a couple of years ago. Fed was being rather un-Fed-like with his bitchy comments ;D
