All the pressure is on Djokovic in this final. It will be interesting to see how Novak handles the pressure of being the favorite and Tsonga's big game.

Men's finals of grand slams make me sad. I hate when they end. I usually cry every US Open Sunday. I have problems.
My prediction: 4-6 6-3 6-2 6-0 for Nole.

That's often how I feel about the second half of the second week of Slams. Most of my faves are out and most of the good matches are over, so it already begins to feel nostalgic.
I'm fucking exhausted, and also a little bit tipsy. I want to do like all my friends and go to bed, but noooooooo I'm fucking staying up to like at least 6 and ruining any chances of a productive Sunday.

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I thought Novak's break in the first game was telling but then he gave it right back. Bad slip-up. Good hitting so far from both, promises to be an exciting final.

I hope so. I'm going to go out afterwards and get a stiff drink, either way.

Ace on break point! Another break point. WHOAAAAA those angles, what a fucking point. ) Vamos Nole. Who knew Nole was pronounced "Nolay" like "Ole!"

Nole's family with his name written their matching jumpsuits... cute, or extremely annoying? I think that if I didn't like him, I'd want to punch them out.

Ugh. Got up for this after like 2 hours sleep, still got a 2000-word feature to write...at some point today before my family arrive for an inconveniently timed visit. But some great tennis so far! Though Tsonga is missing more volleys than I'd expect.

What just happened with the challenge? I was cooking and came to hear that i apparently missed a "very special moment".

Mostly annoying, actually. But their collective intensity is... intense!
I missed a funny moment. Do you understand what happened? Something about the mike and a challenge?

When I first saw the NOLE jumpsuits I thought it was fans. Cute now, I guess? Because I heart Nole, and it's a very good-looking family (his mother's cheekbones!). If they do it ever again though, not cute.

If they do it ever again though, not cute. His mother is a nice looking lady. Good points. Were this an ugly family of a player whom I hated, I would most certainly want to hit them. As this is not the case, they get a pass. This time.

I agree. They're good looking, and Serbian, and run a pancake and pizza restaurant!
I guess we all missed the special moment. I'm gonna look it up on MTF.

Pancake and pizza? That's an interesting combination. Yep, the commentators here try to bring it up whenever they cover a Novak match and his parents are present. I totally want to travel to Serbia and eat there! I bet the little bros are waiters. ;D Maybe I could get Marko's numba. I'd tip him good, like at least 30%.

I found out what was fooony.
" Nole asked him about a first serve which was called out. Ramos: "Well. It was awfully close" Nole challenged it with a big laugh. Ramos: "Djokovic has challenged the serve on the left service line - which was awfully close - the ball was called out."
Pretty funny.
Later, when Nole made two netserves, Ramos sad "net, first serve", with like a boring sigh.
Funny and all - but how professional in a GS final? " - jonas, MTF

O. M. G.
Those last two points.
And Tsonga's dad is doing a little Ali-esque fist pump.

Cute how excited his Dad was getting with the fist pumps there. Hee.
Okay, at this point... Tsonga has to get tight. Or he wins. Which I can deal with.

That's right - first set lost for Djoko this tournament. I thought he was gonna pull a Fed AO '07, or a Sharapova.

I'm hungry. If they split sets here I'm running off to the orange restaurant to get some don cass. These chicken nuggets aren't cutting it. Possibly because they're shaped like puppies.
