Here we have the unsung Italian, Karin Knapp, slayer of Wozniak, and Steph's next opponent: Steph will HAVE to win in 2 sets, after her very tough match today. Otherwise I sense one of her "je suis fatiguée" 0-6 3rd sets coming on.

Hisamatsu, who I now know all about, is leading Tammy-slayer Kleybanova 7-5 0-2.
Cargill is one game from defeating Voracova in a third set.
Vrljic-Kloesel is RAGING as we speak, no doubt to Janie's delight. Kloesel s even WINNING right now, 6-4 5-7 4-3.

Why did Schaul start sucking so much? She's up a set on Brianti. But you'd think anybody who could beat Lindsay has enough game to never leave the top 100, at least.
Kleybanova went up 5-0 in the 2nd, but it's back to 5-3 now ...

Schaul was a double break, 4-1 up in set two, and lost it in a tiebreak. Weinhold taking it to Kremer! 3-6 7-5 3-4 on serve ... Sunitho Rao needs to give it up. I saw her play over two years ago now ... she's dreadful. No power, no hoper. Lepchenko has managed to lose set two to Takao, whom she killed in set one. 6-0 4-6.

Kleybanova did d. Hisamatsu 5-7 6-3 6-3. Hseih d. Grandin 2 and 2. Gags (13) d. Strycova 3 and 5. Why won't Gags quit ... Beygelzimer (3) d. Brengle 3 and 5. My only exposure to her was her 2004 French Open match against Jenfat. I thought she was good but she's been mired around the same level since ... Flipkens (14) d. Zahlavova (whoever that is) 3 and 4. Barrois (22) d. Vierin 2 and 2. Bachmann d. Johansson 4 and 4. Fernandez d. Obziler (26) 7-6 1-6 6-4. Clarisa should be better, but ain't. Alas.

Maybe Schaul is the new Daja Bedanova.
Vierin and Grandin are the same dull person as Kloesel to me. At least 2 of the 3 of them are out already. ;D
