Ashe Ashley Fisher/Trip Phillips again! Who are they sleeping with in the US Open Scheduling Committee?? (19) Jankovic vs. (2) Hardenne (1) Mauresmo vs. (3) Sharahpova (USA) Doubles, Kids, Wheelchairs. No geezers.

It's cute how silent the crowd is when Justine wins anything. You keep shouting "allez", Joosteen. Piss 'em off more for never respecting you.

Man, if this was anyone but Justine I'd be pissed off big time right now. Just hoping her rib will hold up in the final.

I'm kinda hoping Maria wins now, because Justine can be even more hated for beating her.

See, now I know I'm a completely different person, cos even when I had to leave my desk at 4-6 2-4 30-40, I still thought JHH could come back. And she did! I do hope JJ gets another shot at a final. She is pretty darn cool. I do feel bad for you, Joana. But remember the beginning of the year? USO SF after that is nothing to sneeze at. Here's hoping she maintains this kind of form and becomes a Top Ten player.

And you're right, this still is a great achievement, especially considering her horrendous first half of the season. And she played pretty well for a set and a half. I'm really happy for Justine too, I just wish Jelena hadn't lost in such an ugly, Hingis-RG-'99-like way.

JHH vs. Maria final. Tomorrow night is haters night!
I'd think I'd be pleased with either one winning. If it was RG or Wimb, I'd be 100% behind zhoosteen, but this is just the USOpen, so go both of them!

So, the #1 seed gets bageled 3 times. I'll dare say that's never happened before.

Mauresmo deserves the #1 ranking, no doubt about it, but she still is the least fearsome #1 in history, I think. I don't think one player on Tour goes into a match with her thinking they have no chance, like they did with Graf, Seles, Hingis, Serena, JHH et al.

I think Sharapova will have to play as well or better than she did today against Mauresmo to upset Henin in tomorrow night's 2006 U.S. Open final.

I hope Justine's back explodes and she has to retire at 0-6 0-5 0-40 and Mary Joe Fernandez murders her during the trophy presentation once Justine demonstrates Pilates for the crowd

"I was looking at her, and she was, 'Oh, I have pain in my back,' or whatever she was doing. That's when she was losing," Jankovic said. "Then, when she was winning, all of a sudden she's hitting the biggest serves ever and all that. I'm like, 'Now your back doesn't hurt?'"

Even if she doesn't, she's 700 points ahead in the race, and will get it if she shows up in Madrid. Finals of all GS's, she's the undoubted #1 to me.

Jank's post-match interview is....a little bitter.
I like JHH in fighter mode...yeahhh
Shara played smart today..impressive. Momo, I don't know. I felt really bad for her today and I can't imagine what the questions will be like at her press-conference.
Allez JHH!! I hope she starts strongly, no nerves..no need for it now this is her 4th GS final of the year (what an acheivement for the supposed clay-court queen). get it!!
