While Gasquet and Nadal were busy keeping an eye on each other, the Swedish boys easily managed to sneak over them in the rankings

The Swedish boys are older and didn't break their feet this year, so that's okay

I am on vacation this week, but is Gasquet still in it? hope so. I like the lad and wish him well! I have not seen him play outside of Brinyi descriptions, which are not too shabby

Woohoo! We should have had a separate thread for Ti Rich earlier. See what difference it makes

Quick! Somebody post a thread about how Pim Pim shouldn't be playing challengers! He should be entered in one of those ATP tournaments that are going on this week!

Be sure to keep that not so great photo you have of me away from your nephew Oh, okay, if you insist. I'm going to see him today, but I won't take the pic if you don't want me to. Not a bad week for Ti-Rich. Speaking of whom, Rich-fan Kalessin has the link to come here so I hope he will.

Not a great year for Richard but not so bad nevertheless He will probably finish the year with more points than last year but with a lesser ranking

I read that Ti-Rich will begin 2005 in New Caledonia for the Nouméa Challenger, and then it's on to Melbourne for AO qualies.

Bad news from Nouméa -- Gasquet withdraws because of chicken pox. So it will be a race to see if he can be ready for the AO, where he might have to play qualies or might not... I believe it depends on if there are a few more withdrawals.

I just read that he was in fact assured of a spot in the AO main draw. So at least he has pretty much 2 full weeks to try and get healthy.

Bad news from Nouméa -- Gasquet withdraws because of chicken pox. This should shut up all the nay sayers. See, he's right up there with Hewitt and Ferrero

Richie's coach Deblicker is quoted in ze French Reuters as saying they are going to take things very slowly with Gasquet's return, since he had to retire from his 2R match in Cherbourg. "His body wasn't ready in Cherbourg and he had to retire with a back injury." He is apparently due to return March 21 for the Barletta challenger.
