"It's always a pleasure to play against him because it's so different," Federer said. "It was because of him, not because of me, that the match was so great."

Great match from both players and really classy from both players.
One thing I really want to know is what Santoro said during their exchange of court at TB. Santoro was down 0-6 and when they passed each other by the umpire's chair, Fabrice said something and both smiled all the way to their side of court, looked at each other across the court and smiled again.

Well I can't help you on that Lee, as I still haven't seen that match. I have it taped, just need some time to watch it, peacefully! But I've seen part of the interview of Fabrice during the press conf after match. And he was just He said that he had the giggles on the MP. Sticking to his reputation of funny guy, he asked the journalists if they had had fun watching the match, as much as Roger and him had had playing, and he added that if it had been the case, then, it was cool!!!

His Gnomishness just lost in the first round of a Challenger in Orléans to Mahut, of all people. "The indoorseason is just starting. I was too inconsistent to win the match. A loss in the first round, these things happen." He sounds devastated. I liked his comments on the Federer USO match: "I would have liked to have won a set, to make him doubt. But he doesn't doubt very often. He has a way of raising his level of play whenever he wants to. By the way, I'll have to watch the tape of that tie-break to figure out how he was able to take a 6-0 lead in two minutes."

He has to make the semis, you know. Oh yes I know! ;D And I know why! I hope I'll fulfill my dream, to finally get to see him play live. And I've already warned the friend who's to come with me. I'll cry like a baby if he wins the doubles with Mika in front of my eyes...

It seems that he fought heroically:

I'm mad! Why did those stupid organizers choose to play the 1st doubles semi today, instead of tomorrow? Fab & Mika have to make the final if I wanna get a chance to see them. ALLEZ Fabrice et Mika!!!!

Coverage of Metz began this afternoon for us here. And I've seen Fabrice attending the whole Gasquet/Monfils match. The cameraman has been very nice and generous with close-ups! I so much hope I'll meet him there tomorrow and on Sunday for the final...*sigh*

It's They've done it, they've won their first doubles title together in a French event and I was in the stands to witness that. I still can't believe it....The match has been great to watch and congrats to the Argies for their fight, because it's been a tight match. Pics are coming, and this time, mine!!!
