The 7/11 is ubiquitous here too, actually. I won't walk to my neighbourhood 7/11 in the winter Of course when I was living in Canada

I won't walk to my neighbourhood 7/11 in the winter Then I'm afraid you will never reach the summit of Everest! And I'm saddened to learn there are 7/11s in Canada. Walmarts, too, I learned today in a Will Ferguson book.

Of course I can reach the summit of Everest since I used to dig a path through my driveway with a shovel so that I could put my car in the garage Also, Calgary is at a high altitude, about 3,500 ft above sea level and I enjoyed hiking up the Rockies. Walmart managed to kick K-mart out for sometimes now. At least Canada still have Superstore ;D

"Obviously, nobody has been able to bounce it out of him; now it will be a hell of a problem to get rid of it. To be doing that shows that when the going gets tough, somebody can't handle it. He isn't John McEnroe. He used it to break everybody else's concentration. Murray is only breaking his own concentration."

British teenager Andy Murray looks to continue his rise up the rankings this week in Aptos, California.
The 18-year-old, who has been awarded a wildcard, takes on Canadian Frederic Niemeyer on Tuesday and could then face second seed Justin Gimelstob.
The tournament is a Challenger event, a level below the ATP tour.
Murray, who reached the third round at Wimbledon on his debut, went out of last week's Newport grass-court event in the second round.

British teenager Andy Murray won his first round match at the Challenger event in Aptos, California. The 18-year-old Scot, who was awarded a wildcard for the tournament, beat Canadian Frederic Niemeyer 6-2 6-4. And his chances of making further progress were boosted when his expected second-round opponent, second seed Justin Gimelstob, was beaten. So Murray will now face Australian Marc Kimmich, who got into the draw as a qualifying lucky loser. The tournament is a Challenger event, a level below the ATP tour. Murray, who reached the third round at Wimbledon on his debut, went out of last week's Newport grass-court event in the second round. The title is Andy's! muhaha

from a new Richard Pagliaro article/interview w/ John McEnroe on Tennis Week.com:Though the LTA touted McEnroe as a coaching consultant, he said the role he's played with the Lawn Tennis Association is not as expansive as he had hoped and expressed interest in working with Scottish sensation [sic] Andrew Murray, who reached the third round of Wimbledon last month. "It didn't amount to a hill of beans, to be honest," McEnroe said of his work for the LTA. "The only time I played Murray was when I played him in London in the Super Set event when I actually played him in something. But it wasn't actually set up for me to play with him and that's sort of disappointing because I thought there'd be something more to that (working with the LTA or Murray). But I know (former British Davis Cup player) Mark Petchey (who is working with Murray) and he came to me at Wimbledon and we discussed the idea of maybe trying to hook up at times." [ewwwww!!! No, John!!! Help somebody who's not a brat!!]
