Oops, 2 fouls for Stoudamire in the first 3 1/2 minutes, that's no good!
Now the Men in White are wrestling for the lead -- OMG Parkère!!! Who can stop him? Oops, he traveled ...

I like all those Suns and their coach. It's cool they turned that game around again after I went to bed. They need it for their self-respect. I just hope my Spurs won't crumble now, the way they did after going up 2-0 against the Lakers last year. Oh well, 3-1, they still have a chance to close it out. But I am afraid to get confident about it!

I agree, it's nice to see that the Suns weren't humiliated. I think you're right not to get too confident now that they have that masked man, who is giving them the much needed third option.
Deep thought: Does anyone hit the floor as often as Manu?

Yes, Joe Johnson, who I had never even heard of due to the Suns games always being on so late , has been huge for those guys. But won't Pop come up with an answer for him? I believe in Pop. Deep thought: Does anyone hit the floor as often as Manu? Si! 1. Dwayne Wade 2. Allen Iverson

It's quite a relieve for Suns' fans that no sweeping by Spurs.
And who says Stoudamire can't play defense ;D That block on Duncan's basket was HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

And who says Stoudamire can't play defense ;D That block on Duncan's basket was HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Yeah, that was cool. The reaction everywhere to that block might inspire Amare to continue to hustle on D. Maybe he never knew that great blocks are more exciting than dunks! The thing is, as a Spurs fan, I don't want Stoudemire to truly see the light about the importance of defense till NEXT YEAR ... Pistons are winning but I haven't had a chance to watch yet ... lead down to 5 points, I like that, go Heat! Here's some Heat to help you:

I'll give you Iverson. His body is surely one large splinter. My ex sister-in-law used to work out at a gym where the Sixers worked out before the season. She said Iverson is built like a toothpick. He is a black-and-blue toothpick who is quicker than Tony Parker and who hits the floor more than Manu, but I concede he's not a better player than Tim Duncan. Glad I didn't stay up to watch the Heat lose.

guess I'm not the only one suffering ... The Love-Despair Affair in Spurs Nation By David Leister SpursZONE.com The San Antonio Spurs -- you love them one day, you wonder why the next. You are gloating over Brent Barry’s crafty play in the Denver series, then wanting to outright cut him during the Seattle series. Ironically against the Phoenix Suns in this year’s Western Conference Finals, you now are suddenly down on one of the greatest players in NBA history. Though Barry is back in good graces of Spurs Nation, Tim Duncan is not. Surely the same frustration and angst are suffered by the fans of other professional sports franchises. But in this one team town -- this small market, always flying-under-the-radar cedar and oak haven in the Hill Country of Texas -- missing free throws can warrant a visit to the shrink. If you use the city’s professional basketball team as the benchmark, San Antonio is a town which seems to neither enjoy nor benefit from positive press. Before Game 4 against Phoenix, there was nationwide acclaim to fame of San Antonio’s sensational new run-&-gun style offense and wet blanket-on-a-fire defense. Tim Duncan was again being called the greatest basketball force on the planet, while Manu Ginobili was being touted as the next superstar. Could Ginobili someday become the first foreign born governor of the State of Texas? Until Monday evening, the sports world was being reminded that the San Antonio Spurs boast the winningest record in any major professional sport since 1997. What they were not reminded of were the countless hair-pulling, sleep-losing tussles with anxiety the team has endowed upon its fans. It’s not so much love-hate as in a major market city like New York or Los Angeles, rather love-despair. A couple of late errant passes and clanked free throws collectively tremble a city and cause nightmares of masked athletic guards shooting game icing jumpshots over All World Defender Bruce Browen. Of up and coming rim rockers, who allegedly have never come across the concept of gritty defense, stuffing the invincible Duncan on a critical dunk in the waning minute of a game. In San Antonio, the collective mood of a city changes at the drop of a basketball come playoff time. But it’s this very attachment to its team which makes this place special to NBA players. As Danny Ferry once said when asked about playing in San Antonio versus other NBA cities, "We (the players) know how good we have it here." And this love-despair affair between fan and franchise will hopefully never die. But during those moments of doubt when the ball simply does not pierce the cotton and that margarita thirst for a river parade is temporarily put on hold, just relax. The love story continues and the chances at glory are many. Just remember that in San Antonio, this love does not come without a price -- your sanity.

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH MY SPURS?? Where is the pride?? Where is the confidence, the courage?? They look like big sissies!!! I swear, if they lose this series after leading 3-0, I am turning my back on them FOREVER. In fact, I am going to root AGAINST them against every other team (except the Lakers; I haven't completely lost my mind!) for the rest of my life!!! I am so ready to hate them. omg, I feel like LEENA! Okay, they are showing Stoudemire's block from the other night, like 30 times. This is the kind of play that single-handedly gets guys on the All-Defense team forever, no matter what they do for the rest of their careers. Commentators all writing off the Spurs and it's still the first quarter and a 1 point game ... all the suits also pick the Suns ... finally Parker hits a shot.

I really get the feeling that I am the only Spurs fan outside the San Antonio border. Everyone else in the country wants these Suns to do a Red Sox thing and win this. But what about my Spurs; they would be de-manned forever if they let that happen. Next year they will have to wear pink dresses for uniforms!

Heh, Spurs confounded all the experts and hoops sages and gone and done won. I wonder if I will ever get over the trauma of last year which causes me to have no faith in my guys at these crucial playoff stages! Except for Pop. I never lose faith in Pop. :lust: ESPN keeps showing a crowd of THREE Spurs fans celebrating in Manhattan! In all of Manhattan, three?? omg

I think they will win the title now and validate my investment in them! Well of course, that's the important thing here. I'm in a delirium of heart attacks and seizures over these games, and Brinyi just eyes the final score coolly, ready to count his Canadian dollars. :satan:

What a great guy Steve Nash is! "Tim makes all those guys better," said Nash, who had 21 points and 10 assists. "He's a tremendous player, a team player, and a winner." I can't wait to see these 2 teams play each other again. But in the regular season, when it will not be agonizing!

Aww, good game. I stayed up. Heat would've won if Wade had been okay, but it was not to be.
Cool of RH to mention his hometown of Coatesville, Pa. to the cameras after the game, woohoo!
