I am so sick of fucking everybody sucking Jim Leyland's cock. Somebody say the obvious; Lou Piniella is not lucid enough to commentate, much less manage. Quit overplaying Cory Lidle's death. Obviously nobody much cares and his was a stupid end anyway that he could have easily prevented. Instead, he went out and broke shit while doing so. Gee, maybe New York should've left him in Philly. The National League sucks. The Cardinals don't deserve to win, but the Mets are just noxious and so are their fans so I guess they must lose. Detroit will probably beat Oakland since Oakland SUCKS in the playoffs and everybody will continue to fellate Leyland. Tom Glavine is far too old. Frank Thomas sucks in the postseason as always. Jeff Weaver? I mean, Jeff Weaver??? No more Tim McCarver please. Fire Joe Buck, please. End baseball, please. The Divisional Series were sure boring, eh? I think I need some time off from sports.

Well, they fired Steve Lyons. Close enough, I guess.

I wish McCarver would have been the one to make racially inappropriate comments.
Let's go Mets!

The Cubs have not taken my advice and hired Lou.
And people wonder why they've been waiting since 1908 ...
Suppan beat Clemens in Game 7 in '04, I believe he can win Game 7 again. I don't like the Mets.
Do either of these teams stand a chance against the Tigers?

And i think the hitters on both the Cards and Mets are more clutch than Oakland. Not sure what happened to the Yankees order, they seemed to catch A-Rod Disease after game one.

A shame that ex-Expo Endy Chavez's catch was in vain.

But it was amazing to see ;D So, Cards-Tigers. This will get lower ratings than Myskina-Dementieva.

I hate the Cardinals and hope they burn in hell. Especially Molina and LaScuzza

Congratulations -- Phillies have a likeable team and I was cheering for them, even though I probably saw a total of 1 inning of the Series.

Well I hope it was one of the more entertaining innings. Or at least one of the coldest, muddiest ones!

We have all-day, all-channel coverage here today of the Phillies parade and celebration. The station I'm watching, Philly's most popular, has a continual crawl going on the bottom of the screen, showing congratulatory messages for the team from fans. So imagine my surprise when I happen to glance down there for a second, only to see the message Go Phillies, you rock! Dawnmarie, NJ. You rock, too, Dawnmarie.

Okay, I think this finally makes up for the trauma of the 1964 Phils. Maybe. Almost.

Ha, a little too much Political Correctness! The mayor steps up & calls Philly, traditionally known as the City of Brotherly Love thanks to its Quaker background, "The City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection."

I would like to see at least one LA team win so that a couple of WS games will be played in acceptable weather.

I agree about the weather, but it's usually not this bad in Philly in October. And the time-zone issue with those LA teams is tough for age 35+ Easterners who'd like to watch the games.

I see. But don't they schedule all the games for East Coast prime time anyway? By acceptable weather, I mean shirt-sleeve, or perhaps light jacket at the most.

There's going to be above normal temps in the Northeast the next 2 weeks. So, playable weather abound.

Ask the MLB bigwigs why the season of their summer game needs to last into NOVEMBER this year. Is November a summer month, Bud? I admit it's still not as bad as the endless NBA season (who wants to watch people running around indoors in late spring!) or the NHL season (it's about ICE, people!!), but it's pretty bad, playing baseball after Halloween. Maybe next Mr. Selig can move the playoffs indoors so they can play into January.

The regular season could easily be shortened. Less off days. More doubleheaders. Lower from 162 games (oh, that's sacrilege!). But, the Player's cartel will never allow these things.
Hockey is the worst, though. I remember the Sabres playing the finals in June. That's just ridiculous.
