Can't reply to my thread anymore Thought about invading Ilhame's one, but creating a new one is fun
I arrived at noon yesterday, just in time to see the last set of Max's match. He played well and had some pretty fanatical fans cheering him on, looks like he has his own fanclub in Rotteram, lol.
Rainer's match was on next, he won pretty easily and seemed happy with his win. I tried to take some pictures again, but gave up because I was sitting to far away from the court.
After that I saw Gonzalez-Hewitt, which Ilhame already reported on. There were a couple of guys behind me who were totally orgasming over how hard Gonzalez hit and they were annoying the hell out of me, but It was a fun match to watch.
After this mnatch a literally ran (:red:) over to court 1 to see Thomas play. I came into that match when he was leading 4-1 and he only lost 3 more games to win 6-3 6-1.
I really enjoyed this match cause I was so close to the court, I could literally hear him asking the ballgirl for banana's, lol. Definitly a highlight for me, sitting so close to one of my favorite players. Too bad players like Juanqui and Roger never play on small courts anymore.
Juanqui's match started at 19.30, my parents and little brother and sister had joined me. My little sis was totallly drooling over JC, I guess it's contagious We had pretty good seats for the evening session, but again very annoying people sitting behind us, so I watched both Juanqui's and Roger's match while having to listen to some idiot who had almost made to being a pro ( )himself and just kept analysing every ball not only in between but also during points>.
Anyway, Juanqui started out great leading 5-0 withing 12 minutes, but van Scheppingen got back on track and could follow Juanqui pretty well in the ralley's, resulting in some good points. The second set ended in a tiebreak in which van Scheppingen made some UE's to hand the match to Juan Carlos.
Next on were Roger and Arnaud. It was a good match until 5-4 but then Roger broke to win the first set and Arnaud never got back in the match. He got broken straight away in the 2nd and got close to breaking back a few times, but lost that set 6-3.
Well, that's it, I wish I could go again today, but I had classes which I couldn't afford to miss
