Thanks a lot, Kiro! Hehe, Edouard Rogier-Vasselin (FRA) is kinda cute! I always resented him because I could never spell his name, but this kinda makes up for that Too bad Berdych decided to go indoors this year...

2004 Heineken Open Shanghai ReportsSep. 27th, 2004I arrived at about 10:30. There were a few players training. The first player I saw was Paul Hanley. He took part in an event, meeting some children with mental deficiency. Michael Luevano was hosting the event. I went to the Tennis Magazine's place. They gave me my media pass. We chatted a little, just at that moment, an editor brought us the bad news: Ferrero withdrew. He got blisters in his hands during the Davis Cup match. The ppl from the magazine were very upset, they've prepared two huge posters, Gaudio and Ferrero, and neither was able to come. I was not surprised though. I would be surprised if Juan Carlos does come. I hope he could catch some rest instead of making all those long, long journeys. I went to the practice courts. Bodan Ulihrach was hitting. Then I saw Guillermo Garcia-Lopez! He was on the way to practise, with his coach (later I knew that the coach was Samuel Lopez). I met him in Beijing, he was together with Juan Carlos and Andres, we talked several times. Of course he recognized me. We said greeting to each other, and he told me that Juan Carlos was not coming. "He has injury," Guillermo said, pointing to his own palm, letting me know what Juan Carlos's injury was (Guillermo is not too good at English). "Yes I've heard of that," I said, "Too bad he was injured, hope he get well soon." I've checked the order of play and the main draw before I went to the tennis center, so I knew that GGL will play Guillermo Canas in the evening. I said, "you are going to play 1st round match today, aren't you? Against another Guillermo?" "Yes, Canas," GGL confirmed that with a shrug. It's unlucky for GGL to draw his namesake in the opening round, Canas is in good form. I said "Good Luck" to GGL, and they went to practise. I said greetings to Samuel too, though I was not sure who he was at that time. I went to watch GGL for a while. The court was behind another court, so it was too far away to take good pics. GGL was wearing a Berlin Airline T-shirt, lol. Samuel Lopez was wearing a jacket with "JC Ferrero Equelite" on it. I left the court and went to other courts. Just then I met another Guillermo, Guillermo Canas on road. We've talked during last year's tournament. I went to him and said, "Nice to see you again, Guillermo!" He smiled and said, "Nice to see you too!" We shook hands. Then he went to practice. Last year he entered by wild card and nobody knew him, but this year, he was the 3rd seed. Sometimes he was accompanied by one or two guards, so we didn't have enough chance to talk. I wandered for a while, ppl from the Magazine told me that Mark Philippoussis would come at noon to meet a Formular One racer. I met some fans, they came to Heineken Open Shanghai 2003 too. Then I saw Canas hitting with another player: Jan-Michael Gambill! Both were shirtless, and both have nice tattoos. Canas has a tattoo on his right shoulder, which I've seen during last year's tournament. Gambill has a tattoo on his back, it's a puma or a tiger, I'm not sure. (Later Fiona told me that the tattoo was brand new! LoL. You can read about the tattoo on Fiona's JMG website.) I took pictures of them. Kristian Pless was waiting for practice, I said hello to him. I saw Yen-Hsun Lu's mother and we chatted. Lu drew Novak in the opening round, so his mother was not too optimistic. Davide Sanguinetti finished his practice and signed autograph for me. Just then, somebody told me that Mark Philippoussis arrived, and he met a Formular One racer, Mark Webber. Scud gave Webber a big autographed tennis ball and Webber gave Scud a racing car model. Then I saw Webber walking on his way to leave, with some guards. He stopped to chat with some players and coaches. They talked quite some time, Webber was bouncing the autographed tennis ball Scud just gave him, as if it was a basket ball. Webber left the tennis center. I went into the stadium, a final round qualifying match was playing. Edouard Roger-Vasselin [FRA] vs Vadim Davletshin [RUS]. Edouard was cute, he was motivated, maybe because his mother was there watching him. He won the match and was waving to his mother, his smile was so nice! I went to Court 2, another qualifying match was playing there, Bjorn Phau was going to win. I stood by Court 2 for a while and noticed a player was standing there watching the match, carrying his racket bag. It seemed that he was waiting to practise. He was wearing Sergio Tacchini and he was not as tall as other players¡I've figured out who he was before I saw his tournament ID Card: Christophe Rochus! I said, "Excuse me, are you Christophe?" "Yes," he replied. He signed autograph for me. Mark Philippoussis went to practice. I went to take some photos. Chris started his practice session too. Phau won his qualifying match and left with his girlfriend. Doubles match started on Court 2, Pless/Lu vs Martin Garcia and Sebastian Prieto. Lars Burgsmuller practicing together with Glenn Weiner. When Lars finished practice, I said hello to him, he saw me and smiled: "From Beijing, right?" "Yes, exactly," I replied. Later I saw Ricardo Mello, I said "congratulations on your first title", he smiled and said thank you. He practised with Ivo Klec. I met some girls, who were at China Open. They didn't know my name and only knew that I was "the old sister in ST", lol. They were quite disappointed because they came here from Beijing to see Ferrero, but Ferrero wasn't coming. They were considering of leaving Shanghai immediately. I said to them: "Don't be so upset, there will be a lot of interesting things even though Ferrero is not here." They changed their minds and decided to stay, so we began to enjoy the tournament together. They are Shanshan (Helen), Lin (eleni), Veronica and Littlestoney. We talked about our expierence in China Open Beijing. Just when I was wandering around some practice courts, I saw Tripp Phillips I went to say hi, I knew he just won the doubles title of Beijing Challenge with Ashley Fisher and he won the mixed doubles too. I said, "Hi Tripp, I saw you in Beijing last week! Great perfomance in the doubles!" He smiled: "Really? Thank you!" He was very glad to see me, he must be quite glad with his results in Beijing. Then Ashley Fisher came too and they went to practise. I told Shanshan and her friends that Tripp was practising. They met Tripp in Beijing and were fond of him. They went to watch Tripp and Ashley Fisher practising. When they finished, Tripp gave us tennis balls and signed autographs. We went into the stadium to watch Guillermo vs Guillermo;D. We decided to cheer for Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, for he was clearly the underdog against Guillermo Canas. Canas overcame a slow start. GGL broke Canas in the 1st game, but couldn't serve out the 1st set at 5-4. Canas broke back and won the tiebreaker, and he broke GGL in the beginning of the second set. Canas won the match 7-6(1), 6-4. We went out of the stadium, didn't watch the Muller vs Lisnard match. We waited for GGL at the bus stop. We said "better luck next time" to him, and I asked him about his schedule. I thought he would stay in Shanghai and practice, and then go to Tokyo. I was right. GGL said, "I won't do like this, go back to Europe and then back here in Asia¡" I said, "so you won't do like Juan Carlos does," and we both laughed. "You'll stay in Shanghai and come to practice, right? Therefore I'll bring you some pictures I took in Beijing." GGL was happy to hear that. We said "See you tomorrow" to each other. GGL and Samuel left the tennis center. We missed the Lisnard-Muller match. Muller came from behind to win. [To be continued]

ReportsSep. 28th, 2004I saw some Australian players practising together. Wayne Arthurs, Paul Hanley and Nathan Healey. Wayne just played the DC tie in Australia. Nathan Healey was the lucky loser, he was going to play against Edouard Roger-Vasselin. Edouard was practicing in the morning too. We saw his mother, she's an elegant woman. The first match on center court was Burgsmuller vs Shaoxuan Zeng. At the same time, Kristian Pless was playing against Christophe Rochus on Court 2. I watched several games there. I didn't intend to watch the Burgsmuller-Zeng match, but the editor from the Magazine told me that Ray Lui, a famous movie star from Hong Kong, was in the stadium. He asked me if I could take some photos of the movie star for their news column on the website. So I went into the stadium, found the star and took pics. I watched some points of Burgsmuller-Zeng match, it was pretty easy for Burgsmuller. Burgsmuller won quickly. Next up on Center Court will be Zib vs Benqiang Zhu, I was not interested in that one, either. I went out to see Pless and C.Rochus tied up at one set all. On the practising courts, Canas was practising with some fellow Argentina doubles players. Kenneth Carlsen, Bjong Phau, Tripp Phillips and Ashley Fisher were all practicing. I felt hungry and decided to go to the sandwich bar. Just then I saw Mark Miles, accompanied by some ATP officers. They stopped in front of a post of "TMC returns to Shanghai". Mark Miles seemed to be interested in the design of the brand new tennis center, he asked questions and the officers were explaining the idea to him. Just when I was going for the sandwich, I saw Jarkko! He went out of the lounge together with his coach, on their way to the restaurant. He looked a bit tired, it must be a tough and tiresome jouney to Israel. I said: "Hi Jarkko, nice to see you again!" He smiled to me and said: "Nice to see you too!" I said, "Are you fine?" "Yeah, I'm fine." "Ok, take care!" "Thank you!" I had my sandwich and ran to the media center to get the internet access. I sent an email to my friend, telling her that I met Jarkko;). I saw the mach on Court 2 was near the end and Christophe was about to lost the 3rd set 0-6, lol. I was wondering if he was injured. And I heard from the broadcast that Benqiang Zhu and Zib were tied at one set all. Pless defeated C. Rochus. I saw Gambill practising a little. Then I saw GGL, he finished practising. He told me he was going to a market of clothes in the afternoon. "Ok, good luck with your shopping." I said. He was together with Samuel Lopez and another coach, who is an old friend with Samuel Lopez. The coach came from Argentina, has been in Valencia for 20 years, and now he was invited to be the coach of the tennis team of Jiangsu, China . His name sounds like Garby or sth., I'm not sure. This time he came here as the coach of Shaoxuan Zeng. On court 2, after the Pless-Rochus match, it was Edouard Roger-Vasselin vs Nathan Healey. My friends were cheering for Edouard. It was a long match, Edouard lost the 1st set, and saved mps in the second set. He won the 2nd set TB 9-7, and was motivated. Healey called for an injury time out in the 3rd set. Edouard finally won the match. And we heard Benqiang Zhu defeated Zib. My friends stayed at Court 2 to watch doubles match, Tripp Phillips/Ashley Fisher vs Leach/Mcphie. I watched a little, then went to media center to post some results. Jarkko was practising after lunch. He signed autographs after practice and I took some photos of him Ricardo Mello went to practice, he played some tennis football and I managed to take several pics as well I spent some time in the media center, then went back to Court 2. Leach said "F***" to fans several times, and quarrelled with the umpire about some calls. Their coach said some very rude words to the girls too. In the 3rd set, the coach himself was applausing Tripp and Ashley's errors with "Hohoho, yes that's it" and "Haha, nice" cheerings. The atmosphere was not pleasant. Too bad Tripp and Ashley lost the match in the end. Sep. 28 happened to be the Mid-Autumn Day this year. It's a traditional festival here in China. According to tradition, ppl stay with family, looking at the full moon, eating mooncakes to celebrate. My friends gave Tripp a box of mooncakes as a gift. When we were wandering, we met Edouard Roger-Vasselin's mother once again. She was waiting for the bus. We were surprised to see that she can speak a little Chinese! We talked (in English). She is an artist, she has a studio here in Shanghai, so she lives here. Edouard is travelling around to play tournaments, mostly Challengers. They can only stay together for about 10 days in a whole year. We have another box of mooncakes for Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. I knew he went to the market, but didn't know if he was back to the tennis center or not. Just when I was about to go to the media center, I met Samuel Lopez and his friend, the Argentina coach. They were going to the restaurant. I asked him about GGL, they said GGL went to the restaurant too. They joked with me, saying "he's been missing you!" lol. We waited for them to finish their dinner. Samuel and his friend went out of the restaurant and saw us. They said, "look, look, Guillermo's there, he's coming, he's waiting for you, go say hello to him!" And they were pushing me, lol. I saw Guillermo came, together with another player (I didn't know who he was at that time, now I think it should be Gilles Muller). We went to say hi and gave him the mooncakes. GGL said, "Ah, today is the day for mooncakes, right?" Looks like he already knew the tradition. We talked a little, he said he went to the market but didn't buy anything, and they intend to go there again tomorrow, lol. Then they went to pick their bags and go for the shuffle bus. We met them once again at the bus stop and my friends took some pictures of GGL and Samuel. The Argentina coach joked with me once again, lol. He said to my friends: "See you, never!" and he turned to me: "See you, later." GGL and Samuel left. I had dinner with my friends. Later I knew that Mark Phillippoussis lost to Weiner and Gambill won his openning round¡ [To be continued]

Reports
Sep. 29th, 2004I selected some pics of GGL I took at China Open and had them printed. In the morning, I got the photos from the printing shop, and brought them with me. When I arrived at the tennis court, GGL was practicing. My friends Shanshan and Veronica were watching. GGL practiced with Samuel for about half an hour, then Gilles Muller came with his coach. The two players practiced together and Samuel chatted with Muller's coach. This was the first time I actually saw Muller play, and I didn't know his name at that time. Tall, lefty, good groundstrokes. I was trying to figure out who he was¡ Then I saw Jiri Novak warming up with Pala. I took some pics, and then went back to watch GGL and Gilles. They two practiced for about an hour. Samuel smiled to us and gave us several tennis balls. When they were having a break during the practice, Samuel saw the envelope in my hands. I told him: "These are photos, for Guillermo." Samuel and Muller's coach came to us to see the photos. And Samuel noticed that Shanshan and I were both wearing ST shirts, "Tacchini Tacchini," he smiled. The two coaches looked at the photos, smiling, chatting in Spanish. There were several photos in which GGL and Andres were together. The coach from Barcelona didn't know Andres. They took the envelope and said "thank you" to me, then went to GGL: "Photo party Guillermo, Photo Party!" They four looked at the photos together, joking with GGL's poses. GGL gave me a "thumb up" and said "Thank you!" The Barcelona coach got a mini football out of his bag, and they started a 4 men tennis football match. Guillermo was very motivated , saying "Vamos Vamos!" But Muller and his coach were much better at football, they defeated GGL and Samuel pretty easily. Then I knew why Guillermo was so motivated . As a "penalty", the player who lost the "match" should walk on the ground on hands and knees . GGL started to "walk" and Muller's coach said to us: "Photo photo, quickly, take photos!" GGL smiled and finished the "walk" as soon as possible , before we got our cameras ready for shooting When they finished practice, I asked GGL and he told me Muller's name. "Ah it's him!" Muller was going to play second round match against Glenn Weiner, who just defeated Philippoussis. I went in the sadium to watch Jarkko vs Bjong Phau. Jarkko lost the first set, it seemed that he was tired and therefore was a bit slow and made some UEs. I've seen Jarkko play some great matches in Beijing. I like to watch him play, I love his backhand attack and the control of rhythm. And I love to see how he goes to touch the wall between points. And I think he looks nice in the yellow shirt as well. Anyway, Jarkko managed to win the match. I went to the media center, and I saw Wayne Arthurs went to Court 2 and then came back: Hyung-Taik Lee withdrew and Wayne got a walkover. My friends just read an article about Jarkko on newspaper. In his interview, Jarkko said he was surprised to see himself being a "star" here in Shanghai. He said, nobody knew him in China Open, Beijing. (Hmm Jarkko you were wrong! I was in Beijing and I knew you ). He said he would like to tell his girlfriend how popular he was here in Shanghai, and she would be shocked to hear that. And Jarkko said, he was "curious" about mooncake, "What's in it? Is it sweet? I know nothing about mooncake or Mid-Autumn Day, too bad nobody's giving me a piece of mooncake to let me taste it." Hmm, the article was in Chinese, so I'm not sure if Jarkko really said those, or it was some poor translation, or it was only a joke, but as we read the article, we said, "What, Jarkko wants mooncake? Then we'll give him some!" So Shanshan went to buy two boxes of mooncakes. One for Edouard Roger-Vasselin, we've decided to give it to him and his mother. Another one for Jarkko. We started to wandering around, looking for Jarkko. Just then I saw Jarkko went out of the restaurant, stopped to take pics with several fans. I went to him. I gave him the box and said, "Jarkko, this is for you, mooncakes." Jarkko was very happy, he said, "Oh, thank you, thank you very much!" He took the box carefully, and shook hands with me very sincerely . How I love his beautiful blue eyes ! I said, "My friend went to buy it for you." He then turned to Shanshan, said "thank you" to her, they shook hands too. Jarkko signed some autographs for fans and went into the lounge with the mooncakes. ;D Shanshan shook hands with Moya when Moya was signing autographs in Beijing. She said to me, "How strange! I shook hands with Moya, his palm was so rough, compared with him, Jarkko's hand was so soft, warm and smooth!" I stood there for a while and said, "You forgot one thing: Jarkko plays tennis with left hand!" We both laughed. I knew that Edouard Roger-Vasselin was going to practice with Jean-Rene Lisnard, so we went to the court. Edouard came to warm-up and saw us. Veronica showed him the mooncake, he was very happy too. He thanked us, and told us his mum was coming and we could give it to her. He started warming up, I took some pics. Then his mum came to the court, we gave her the mooncakes. We chatted and I showed her the pics I just took by digital camera. She really liked some of them. She said, "there haven't been any good photos of Edouard¡" Edouard is not famous, he is not playing those big tournaments and great matches. Mother and son can only be together for a very limited period in the whole year. They were together in Beijing Challenger, now in Shanghai, and his mother would accompany him to go to Tokyo next week, and that's all. Obviously she would like to have some pics of her son. I said, "OK, I'll see what I can do." On Court 2, a doubles match began. It was Gambill/Canas vs Klec/Phau. I've posted some pics I took in the first two days, and Fiona contact me on MTF. She told me JMG knew her and I can tell him that I sent his pics to her. JMG and Canas won the doubles match. Canas stayed to practice. When JMG was walking off the court, I went to him and said, "Great match Jan-mike! I'll send your pics to Fiona." JMG smiled to me, a little surprised but very happy: "you know Fiona?" "Yes, I know her through internet." "OK, thank you very much!" He's got a bright smile, he really needs to smile more often. Then I went to watch the doubles match on center court, Novak/Pala vs Nieminen/Carlsen. Both Jarkko and Kenneth are left-handed. I've seen so many lefties here this time! Novak/Pala won the match. It was difficult to take pictures in an evening match, but I managed to get one, I love the smile of Jarkko in it [To be continued]

Then I knew why Guillermo was so motivated . As a "penalty", the player who lost the "match" should walk on the ground on hands and knees . GGL started to "walk" and Muller's coach said to us: "Photo photo, quickly, take photos!" GGL smiled and finished the "walk" as soon as possible , before we got our cameras ready for shooting !! Too funny! I have to say, I never saw players in Cincy doing that sort of thing but apparently they do it all the time. GGL got off light! He is so much fun to watch, especially when he's playing well. His backhand is a thing of beauty, and his one-hander ain't bad, either I'm not a big fan of yellow but he has the skin tone to pull it off. It just makes me look sickly. TSK TSK, Jarkko!! Don't you know how popular the blondes are in Asia? I'm surprised he didn't know that, seriously. Apparently Edberg was a big big star in Japan when he was playing, and of course Juan Carlos now. But of course there's more to Jarkko than just his (dyed) hair. He's so unassuming -- LOL, I was the first person to follow him around in Cincinnati last year but by the end of the week I wasn't the only one! Anu got herself a good deal in him. He was probably serious. I don't know what mooncakes are either That's really sweet that you guys decided to remedy this problem Okay, I don't think I can properly express just how great I think this was! When I read it I clasped my hands together like this: tennishack12.bravepages.com/archive02/KimChamp9.jpgand squealed a little He is so great! What I've already said, x 100 It certainly brightened my day As for his eyes -- well, you know I'm a sucker for blue eyes There's a really good picture of him from one of those two tournaments that really highlights his eyes, I'll have to find it... He shook hands with his right hand? Hmm... And, LOL, okay, I am a bit jealous But only because he is everything I thought and more! That's really true. Rogier-Vasselin is really cute, very photogenic. Hopefully he will do better in the coming years and really get his face out there. His mom sounds great, I hope you were able to put together something for her Wow, you got in with quite a few tennis families!

Report Sep. 30th, 2004Edouard Roger-Vasselin vs Lars Burgsmuller was scheduled to start at 11 o'clock on Court 2. I went to the tennis center a little earlier than before. I've made a CD-rom, with all the pics of Edouard I took. I saw his mum at the entrance of the lounge and gave her the CD-rom. She was so happy, she said she would check it when she went back to the hotel. Then I met my friends. They made a poster of "ALLEZ EDOUARD", and they drew a cartoon of Edouard on it. They showed it to Edouard's mum. I said to my friends in a joking way, "God, She (Edouard's mum) is an artist (and now you're showing your clumsy drawing to her)! " I said it in Chinese but Edouard's mum heard it and she actually understood what I'm joking about, and we had a good laugh together. My friends said they were going to establish a website supporting Edouard, that would be nice. After a while, players started to warm up on various courts. I saw Ricardo Mello, Gilles Muller, Burgsmuller and Edouard. Then we stay by court 2 to watch Edouard's match. Edouard was not playing too well in the match. Burgsmuller was more experienced than him. Although in the 2nd set, Burgsmuller made 3 double faults in a row to let Edouard broke him easily, Edouard still was not able to hold his own serve and turn things around. Burgsmuller won 6-3 6-2. I went into the stadium to watch Jarkko. It's not a good day for him. Davide Sanguenetti was playing defensively but very consistent, and Jarkko, maybe still weak from his DC tie, seemed too tired to stand all those long rallies. He made some UEs and his second serves gave Sanguenetti too many chances to attack. Jarkko lost the match . Then I went to Court 2, Muller vs Weiner. Muller lost the 1st set but won the 2nd. I went there at 5-5 in the 3rd set, Weiner serving. Muller played brilliant returns in the game! Weiner was so upset when he was broken. He threw his racquet, then threw his chair into the practice court next to the court they were playing on. He kicked his racquet bag. Muller just sat there drinking some water and kept silence. Then Muller served out the match. Weiner threw his racquet again and kicked his bag and threw the towels and things¡what a mess¡He sat for a while, finally he got all his belongings and walked off the court. A fan went to speak to him, he smiled to her and said "thank you", so after all he calmed down again. Then Gilles Muller walked off the court, I went to say "Great match, Gilles!" He smiled and said "Thank you!" Gilles has got a lovely smile ;D He signed autographs for us. ;D I got a phone call from the photo printing shop, they told me that the digi pics I gave them in the morning have been printed. So I decided to go and get the photos. (some of Edouard Roger-Vasselin and several of Jarkko, Pless, etc.) Just when I was about to left the tennis center, I saw some ppl gathering around one practicing court¡I saw Guillermo Garcia-Lopez! We were thinking that he already left for Tokyo¡He and his coach Samuel Lopez were taking part in an event, to hit with some fans from a local tennis club. GGL was soooooo funny! ;D;D Making faces, pretending to be scared¡;D;D And Samuel was nice too. When they finished, GGL shook hands with the fans. We met them when they left the court. One of my friends said to GGL: "See you tomorrow?" GGL said "Yeah, yeah, see you tomorrow!" Hmm¡¡ (In fact, he left for Tokyo the next day¡ ¡) We went to the photo printing shop and got my photos. My friends decided to have some of hers printed too, we sat down to choose some. She chose about 50 pics. Then we went to have dinner in a restaurant, about 300m away from the tennis center. And then, here comes the craziest moment¡ We four (Shanshan, Veronica, Littlestoney and I) sat down and ordered some foods. Before the foods were served, Shanshan got a message from a girl we met at the tournament. She told us, Edouard Roger-Vasselin was in the center court watching the match! We all thought that he had left the tennis center after his loss. "Oh God, we're going to meet him and say goodbye and good luck to him!" "Let's go, run, run!" I grabbed my bag (later it was regarded as one of the most wisdom choices), brought the pics of Edouard I just got from the shop, ran out together with Shanshan and Veronica. Littlestoney stayed in the restaurant. We ran to the stadium! Shanshan and I arrived first, Veronica was behind, struggling with her mid-high heel shoes. It was change-over time and Shanshan and I went into the center court. I saw Edouard and his mum, they was just standing up and leaving! Shanshan didn't see them. I said, "Quickly, they are leaving!" We then ran out of the center court. Shanshan went to the way to the tournament restaurant to see if they were going for dinner, I went to the entrance of the lounge, to see if they are going to leave¡And I got it! I saw Edouard's mum, she was chatting with someone. I told Shanshan and Veronica where I was. I went to Edouard's mum after she finished the talk. I asked about their schedule. She told me that they were going to the player's party in the hotel, and then, left for Tokyo next morning. I told her that my friends wanna say goodbye to Edouard. She said, "OK, he's busy on internet now, let's wait till he finishes: I dare not disturb him either!" And I saw Edouard sitting in front of the computer; I hadn't even noticed he was there! LOL. I then went out to tell Shanshan and Veronica. Edouard's mum saw us, she came out to talk to us. Veronica was holding the photos of Edouard, and she showed them to Edouard's mum. She was so happy, she saw the pics one by one, and then walked to Edouard and showed them to him. Edouard smiled as soon as he saw the pictures, and he stood up, left the computer, came out to meet us! He said he liked the photos. We told him that all the photos here were included in the CD-rom I gave his mum. He gladly signed autographs on the pics. He was very happy. Veronica wanted to take a pic with him. Veronica took out her camera¡but it was "locked"! Didn't know what was wrong, but the camera just didn't work. I said, "OK, let's use mine, just a minute!" And I start to get my camera out of the bag¡switch it on¡make some settings¡During this period, Edouard became interested in Veronica's hair: she's got lovely plaits. He touched one of the plait with his fingers. Shanshan said, "Lovely, isn't it?" "Yeah, lovely!" ;D;D Finally I got my camera ready. Edouard and Veronica stood together. Edouard smiled and when his mum intend to join (joking), he said "Go away!" ;D And we all laughed. I took picture for them. Then we said good luck and goodbye to him and his mum. We went back to the restaurant, to have dinner together with Littlestoney. We talked about the things just happened and Veronica was above the cloud ;D
