Not the best of qualie fields for either gender...AO always gets thin fields for qualies so the stragglers tend to make it through. For instance, 5 USian guys, a couple of them no-names...meh.
For the girls, really thrilled for 90's girls Paszek and Cornet, and the comebacking Voracova and SCA.
Good to see older UNCs Kudryavtseva and Rolle come through, and looks like non-Strycova Zahlavova is going to have a really good 2007.
Never a good sign when someone I've never heard of sneaks through -- this Cravero person, whatever. Hell, I hope she gives Muller a real run.
The Vak, man...she's Top 30 at least if she ever can get to play more than two months at a time.

And that I thought she was promising in '04, but she never really did anything.

Too bad Cilic and Bozo have to play each other since they were 2 of the better qualifiers.
Rampant Spanky could be some trouble for Hewitt.
I would italicize q-The Zak vs 24-Stosur

The problem with the Qualie Tank now is that, in Slams, they pull a random draw from the four highest-ranked losers, they don't just go down the list. The rule was created to kill the Qualie Tank. The first victim was #1 seed Romina Oprandi at Roland Garros -- she lost final round to Vakulenko and did not get in (Flipkens did instead). thanks for that, good closing of a loophole
