My plan:
Going to bed at 9 pm. Waking up at 1:15 am for Match of the Day. Falling asleep again during Kuzze match. Waking up again at 9 am for Roddick victory.

Not one qualifier of either gender made the third round.
Looks like only three wild cards (Molik, Arthurs, and Querrey) got this far.
29 out of the top 32 seeds still alive (#4 Ljubicic, #11 Baghdatis, #14 Schiavone).
Formy. Boring.

Agreed. There were some good/interesting but ultimately unsatisfying matches because they didn't end with the upset.

My plan: Try to get home by 5:30 to watch Petrova/Serena. Watched Nadia blow as horrible as possible as she does against anyone good at a slam, as Serena bullshits a 3-set win. Bitch online for a while as Amelie crushing Birnerova, and STYLISH MAKIRI are playing. And keep my silly hope of Shahar winning this title. Watch Roger destroy Misha. Go to bed as Marat is such an asshole.

Petrova has been whining to the press about how she gets no respect. Time to earn it.

Wow, Ree is huge. And she's going to beat Nadia.
It's annoying how the commentators speak about Serena's "comeback". It's not like she had been absent for 5 years, she played at the US Open just a few months ago.

Serena's latest "comeback" has lasted since last July.

Serena stinking up the court. 17 UEs in 6 games.

Nadia is up 5-1. This is how things should be.
It's stupid but I still have that pang of excitement which generally means a big upset is happening. Except, this isn't one.
OMG, The Saf vs. The Yak!
I say Azarenka beats Jankovic. Just cuz.

Nadia serves 3 aces in a row to win the first set, 6-1. That was a real beatdown. Serena can't possibly win a rally that goes on beyond 3 shots and Nadia moves and defends really well.

What's up with these hawk-eye graphics? There's no way Serena's shot landed where the graphics showed it. The call itself was probably good but the position of the ball showed certainly wasn't.

I do hope this thrashing continues. Serena needs to know how far she is from the top players these days.

Is it raining on the outdoor courts? Yep. Uh-oh, Serena's actually starting to run now, unlike in the first set, and Nadia's getting a bit sloppy.

Nadia getting back what she was giving away by getting back the given. 2-3.

Two piss-poor games by Nadia, not nearly as aggressive as she was throughout the match. Serena's really fighting out there, though.

but she's been playing like this her whole career. Why do some people keep thinking she's over her headcase issues?

Serena shows her how it's done.
Unbelievable that Nadia serves three aces one game and then throws away the next one.
