It's amazing, just a few loose points at the end of the second set and it's all changed. I guess this was inevitable.

So Nadia was serving for the match? Nice. What a cow.

So Nadia was serving for the match? Nice. What a cow. She was 6-1 5-3 up. Serena managed to hold, but it was tight. Served for it, at 15-15 played a really stupid rally waiting for Serena's error but instead came a winner and it's been all downhill since.

Thanks, Joana. I'm glad I missed that.
Agree on Nadia never winning a slam.

If babygurl somehow gets past Jankovic (worst case scenario would be Azarenka winning today) she will probably go through to the final.

LOL. Petrova did no favors to the WTA.
But Serena is also pretty good mentally. Doesn't matter if she's out of shape or not, she'll clobber ya.
But Nadja is the prototype headcase; too bad for her. I still give her a much greater chance of winning a slam than Elena D.

If babygurl somehow gets past Jankovic (worst case scenario would be Azarenka winning today) she will probably go through to the final. I agree. Somehow I'm more worried about the Azarenka match, hopefully it can be finished today, preferably in straight sets without much trouble for Jelena. She needs to be as rested as possible. Serena was pretty horrible for a set and a half today and if she plays on anywhere near that level Jelena will win, but she must get serious right from the start and not fool around.

Geez, all women's matched have been disturbing. Amazingly crappy tournament so far. I know it's like that in early rounds at most Slams, but still.

Nadia losing that match is horrendous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Ok, I guess I'm over it. Fuck, the Sisters are always so hard to put away. The players are still afraid of them, for sure. Serena does indeed now lurk in that bottom half. But ... it could easily come undone for her. maybe Jankovic beats her, maybe Svetlana, maybe Mauresmo. I don't think Serena has it in her to win this title, that's as far as I'll go right now though. :S

6-3. Tati is playing some inspired tennis. I like Shahar but she doesn't have the weapons to counter this. She must hope for Tati not to keep up this level.
