Here are the WTA players I don't mind Kuznetsova, The Cheetah, Schynder, Dechy, Dementieva ( the legs make up for the serve), Sesil The Cheetah? LOL, isn't Sesil a bit young for you? That's Con-Cheetah, not Henin. And believe me, in my house Martinez is still the Cheater after all these years.

Ja, the Shark won the 3rd. 7-3, not a bad comeback

I don't mind either of the Belgians, better than some of the other crap that is around and they are definitely not lookers so that works.
If it gets to a 5th the Shark can get him, just hope he can keep it going.

Apparently everyone's favourite analyst Brad Gilbert said on ESPN that Acasuso has a weak serve for someone his height. The RG website says he has a booming serve and crunching forehand, so one of 'em must be right. Just about the last time I saw him play was against Federer at the US Open, and he was regularly hitting first serves around the 130mph mark. This is Brad Gilbert we're talking about, he's still smiting from being dumped by Roddick. Neither he nor any of the Duck's other cheerleaders think that his future opponents (Acasuso today, Volandri potentially in the next round) will be a problem for him. They are far inferior players and aren't "one of those Spanish" clay players (read: they are also inferior clay players).

You wouldn't mind Andreev defending his points either though, would you George? The winner of this certainly has a great chance to make the second week since they're playing a clay hater in the next round.

Acasuso has quite a good serve, he is just a very poor volleyer and I saw him play Gonzo his master this year and he served quite well and he moves well laterally, but forward on a hardcourt not so good.

Thanks Hack. She has had some very interesting ITF results and, apparently, one of the worst tennis dads around. Interesting. I'd never heard of her before this event. Cornet had a big win in the first round but she is just getting killed right now.

C'mon Jarkko! He needs some big success here. Apparently Amelie is Cornet's idol. So you can imagine how she must feel right now Golovin through 60 61

Sesil, she doesn't like Screamarova and that is good enough for me. Haha

This is true I don't hate on Andreev and to tell you the truth I thought he'd be bitchslapping Agassihole in this round, but Nieminen is further down the rankings, either or as long as they win the next round that is important.

Stani breaks, leads 2-0 in the third (not that I have much hope). JC breaks for 5-4 and will serve for the first set

Nah, we're talking about the 94 Wimbledon final here - just about the first tennis match anyone saw in our household, and Conchita's injury tactics linger on in the memory. Well, not in mine, but in my mother and sister's memories for sure.

All of the French tennis players are in the stadium watching Mauresmo-Cornet; they just showed Monfils and Gasquet chatting. I was surprised to see Gasquet here instead of watching Tati Golovin but her match just let out so maybe he ran over. Though this Cornet girl is cute. ESPN breaks away from Mauresmo's match to chat with Sharapova

I barely remember it myself - I think what happened is that Navratilova won the first set comfortably, then Martinez took an injury timeout in the second set, seemed to be struggling physically and supposedly this threw Nav out of her rhythm because she started feeling concerned about her opponent. Then all of a sudden the Cheetah came out right as rain for the rest of the match and romped to victory from there.

ToJo loses the first set 3-6 to Sanguinetti Sanchez. :red: Damn, can you tell I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night? Can't even read the scoreboard. Oh Christ, Chris Fowler bringing up the Ferrero thing again How about buying a friggin clue, nosey commentators.

Yes, I saw that, and I worked out he probably wasn't a Rezai fan. But Clement was also there watching when he had less than an hour left before his match, and I'm guessing he was there to see his compatriot.

Well you know if you're watching a player's match and you're of the opposite sex that automatically means you're screwing them. At least, according to the nosey gossipy ESPN commentators. Of course, I wish Sharapova hadn't laughed loudly and embarrassingly when asked about her connection to Ferrero. She should have just said that he already has a girlfriend, but of course she didn't.
