5 sets.
Rogerer with his usual bullshit win.

Ugh...
This also probably means NBC will show the Davy match first.
Then, we get Rafa/Rogerer on ESPN 10 hours later. Sigh.
Fuck NBC.

Come on Puerta! Patty, are you kidding me?? btw, did you guys see that Kim had a 116-mph serve last week? She always had an effective serve, but I guess she spent some of her "idle" time working on adding the juice. And Justine 118.

8th-seeded Batty and Corina bowed out meekly in their semi to unseeded (! can that be right??) Black/Huber.

I don't get what NBC is going to do? They say they are showing Rafa vs Fed, but that match is at least 2 sets away still? Surely they aren't going to just TALK for that long?

Post by Brinyi on Jun 3, 2005 9:28:42 GMT -5
Maybe they have decided to make up for all those tape delayed matched by showing one that hasn't started yet?

Maybe they have decided to make up for all those tape delayed matched by showing one that hasn't started yet? :lmao: Turns out they are going to dust off the creaky Rafa-Ferrer tape. Thanks so much from all Puerta fans, you bozos.

omg, this is so awful that it's hilarious! NBC just deigned to show a brief LIVE shot -- of the fans in the stands!!! You could hear the tennis players' grunts on the court down below, but they refused to even show them for ONE SECOND!! omg, talk about a big diss. NBC sports head: "What? Puerta vs Davy-who? Isn't there any Kournikova footage we can air instead of them?" NBC's tennis expert: "No, she hasn't played for 2 years" NBC sports head: "Really? Are you positive? I swear I saw a photo of her in a bikini holding a tennis racket last year!"

Ha! They just showed another of those crowd shots. I wonder if any casual viewers are curious as to why the crowd is is cheering and applauding when no matches are going on.
They just acknowledged there is a match going on!
Oh, I see, ESPN has rights to the first semi...
