"I had a plate of white pasta with fish. To tell you the truth, I must say that you don’t eat very well in the players’ restaurant at this tournament, but you don’t have to complain about it either. There are worse things in the world and I don’t like to complain nor criticize. This is only a comment." -- R. Nadal

Eurosport.fr is blaming the wind for the poor play.

yeah it could be that, or you know, the fact that both are trying to choke at the same time moonball madness edit: the commentators just said "that's some good theatre!"

I was going to suggest that the wind hampered Ivo the Giant's serve, but he ws 69% with 30 aces. So I'll fall back on explanation #2: he blows. ;D

Kuznetsova's stats are actually even worse than Meghann's, and yet, here we are.

In the 1st set, yes.
But, it's amazing that Meghann has 2 games in the 2nd. With 0 winners, 8 UE's, and 15% 1st serves.

Ha, glad Meghann lost after leading 5-0. Now she sees exactly how useful that nightmare of a coach is to her. I am AWESTRUCK at Jonas! He's the of the crowd! I TOLD you guys that Natalie could not win wearing her nightgown. She's so Silvia Farina "should I choke now, or later?" Elia it's not funny.

Shaughghhhhnneessssssy actually played quite well for the first five games, it wasn't that bad. Then she forgot how to. Then it rained and I went to make my tea.

the Meg-Sveta match must be the polar opposite of the Dechy-Momo one, every other shot is probably out

Ha, glad Meghann lost after leading 5-0. Now she sees exactly how useful that nightmare of a coach is to her. Now that she's married to the loser, there's not much she can do. And her career is pretty much dead.

Watched Sweater v Meghann from the resumption. Terrible, terrible match. Sweater is just...so sloppy, it makes her unwatchable at times. She was lucky that Shaughnessy was as hell-bent on self-destruction, really. She's going down to Peer again, anyway.

Good wins for Olaru, Cibulkova and Kudryavtseva though!
Safarova to thrash Mauresmo again?

Thank you Funky Cold! I was greatly afraid that Likh would reach the R16 and prolong her already overly lengthy career.

Very off topic, but how the fuck is mboyle going to Duke next year. What they said. And remember that he always bragged about going to fancy private schools. It doesn't even matter if you do poorly at them.

Safarova to thrash Mauresmo again? I don't know about a thrashing, but if Amelie goes into her uber-defensive shell which is fully expected, Lucie is very likely to win.
